Today is the grand opening of Publix in my city here in Alabama and I’ve got a Question for you PUBLIX PROS haha. Since we’ve never had one, I’m not so sure how the gas card thing works…Could someone be super sweet and enlighten me?
Is the $50 of groceries needed total calcuated before or after coupons? Thanks in advance! SO excited to start saving!!!!

Also glad to see the PopTarts are still on sale next week. Has anybody else had any trouble ordering/printing the high priced coupons from Kellogg’s Family Rewards site? I’ve got the points but I’m not able to redeem…it seems like a few other customers are having the same issue and it’s a head scratcher
I’m not able to print the Qs from RP system.
I had that problem. It wouldn’t work for me when I used chrome or firefox. I tried printing it through Internet Explorer it worked. Haven’t had problems again. I just always have to remember to switch browsers.
I can’t print them either, and I called. They gave me back my points, and I tried to print again. Still couldn’t print them, but now they tell me that they can’t give me back my points again. Said there was something wrong with my browser. I don’t think so. Been printing coupons for a few years now! Now I’m just annoyed with the Kellogg’s site! :-/
I had the same problem. I had to completely remove all JAVA from my computer. I re-installed it from this link, http://www.redplum.com/pages/viewarticle.aspx?id=42949673733. Once I did that, I tried to print a random coupon from Redplum.com to test it out. It printed with no problems. I hope that helps.
I printed some $1/2 Scotties Facial Tissue coupons awhile back. Don’t remember where they came from but they are good til the end of the month.
I have BOGO Scotties coupon that I printed some time ago (I think over 2 months ago) and expires on 3/30/13, check your binders!

Anyone know if the $3/1 Target q for Dentasticks is a match?
I doubt it is a match because the Target coupon is for the 32 ct Dentastix. I am thinking that would be a lot more ounces than 5 -6 oz size that are on sale. I actually checked my Publix store in middle Tennessee last week and they didn’t even carry the 32 ct package.

does your store let you get multiple gas cards per transaction? mine limits to 2. if not, that’s alot of transactions.
my store will let yu get as many as you want. i just have to meet the $50 for each card and hope that they have enough cards left.

Penny, I had redeemed for them when they were on sale & wasn’t even able to print! I don’t get my point back either!! I tried again though a few days later as was able to print. Kellogg’s Family Rewards sent me an email shortly after apologizing for their ‘technical difficulties.’ I’m out those points though! Luckily it was only 100.

Regarding the Gas Card Promotion…I think I am missing something! Is it just $50 of gas for $40? That helps, but people tend to be EXTRA excited about it than I am. Please inform me of what I am missing!!!!!!!!!
You have to purchase $50 worth of grocery and a $50 gas card to get the $10 off the gas card deal.
The $50 grocery is a pre coupon total, so you can use your coupons to bring that way down and many people walk away with $50 in food + $50 in gas for $50 or less. You can’t just go in and get a gas card and use the coupon without buying the grocery.
yes it is a $10 savings, but when you look at the per gallon difference, it is super…my hubby saves around $0.80 per gallon on diesel. When we are spending over $150/week in fuel just for him, saving $30 is worth it.
Adrienne, sometimes its a good deal for me. I’ll share with you why i usually end up getting them.
Since it offers Shell as a Gas Card, and i usually buy BOGO meat at Winn Dixie anyways, to earn my Fuel Perks (i.e $.05 for each $50 spent + other bonus points) when I do my Shopping and spend the $50 in grocery (+ coupons) i take the gas card for $40 and use it at Shell to lower my cost on gas at the pump.

Some people think that it isn’t a good deal because some of the gas stations you can get the gift card for are about 20 cents more a gallon than maybe a cheaper station (at least in my area). But I always have told people that if they do the gift card deal, they will be saving 20% off their price per gallon up to $50. When you look at it that way, gas that normally is $3.20 a gallon is really only costing you $2.56. A bigger savings than any cheaper gas station will have.
I buy the Shell cards because I also get discounts on the Winn Dixie FuelPerks program, which uses Shell. My Shell station is five cents more per gallon than the lowest priced gas in the area (a Citco station), but I get anywhere from 0.15 to 1.00 per gallon off that price with FuelPerks and then pay with the discounted card I bought at Publix. It’s well worth buying the gas cards at Publix.
I look at it as an automatic $10 off my grocery bill of $50 –Flat out 20% savings before any other coupons are used!
I am going to buy the gas anyways…so I don’t count it as a reduction in my auto expense category. I am just “trading” out money. The $50 cash from my auto budget turns into a $50 gas card…no big difference. BUT–by “trading” the cash for the GC…I save $10 on my grocery budget – that’s the big deal to me
I look at it exactly like Michelle does except I also get one more perk. I use an AMEX bluesavings card that gives me 6% back on anything I buy at the grocery store, including gift cards. So, when I spend $50 on a fuel card at publix, publix gives me $10 off my groceries AND amex gives me an extra $ 1.50 cashback (3% if I would have bought it at a gas station, so that’s a wash). An awesome deal to get an extra $11.50 for gas I was going to buy anyway. P.S. I buy my gas at the BP normally, so I don’t pay any more than I would anyway.
It works out to a 20% discount on gas. Nothing to sneeze at in today’s economy!

Are the Perdue chicken strips good or do they taste processed like most other brands???????
My kids don’t mind them, but for my husband and I we like the Perdue Simply Smart Original Roasted Chicken Chunks. They aren’t breaded and don’t have a weird after taste.
They are extremely good… We avoid processed chicken and this tastes really good to me.

Anyone from Charlotte North Carolina going there soon. Anyone know if there is a Publix? Also do they have the same coupon policy as Florida with the BOGO?
Go to Publix website and select locate a store. If you know the zip you should be able to see if there is a store near where you are moving.
Don’t know for sure if they double in NC, but most stores outside of Florida do. You can get a phone number on the website and call the store if they have one there.
There are no Publix stores in NC. If you head west on I-85 into SC there are stores. We do have doubles and half price BOGO which you can use 2 coupons for.

I’m curious why you say the Libby’s Fruit PQ isn’t a match. Why not?
I think the Libby’s cans are very likely match for the 6 oz ones. When I priced checked them, the 15 oz cans cost more and they 6 oz cups were priced at $1.19 and they were pretty well stocked yesterday on the cups, like they are preparing for a sale.
There’s a Bricks MQ for $1/4 Libby’s fruit cups. That one is a match for the Libby’s fruit on sale, which is a single-serve cup, not a can. IIRC, the $1/2 fruit Q is for cans or a 3-pack sleeve of cups.
I found the $1/4 fruit cup Q on Hot Coupon World under printable coupons (it’s in the Big, Big List of Bricks Printables).

Dollar General has Libby’s vegetables for .50 each this week. If you have the $1.00 off 4 Libby’s veggie coupon you can get them for .25 each.
On the stove top stuffing, if you were looking at getting the best deal, it is with the current BOGO deal that ends Tues/Wed. With the $1/2 mq, you can get them at $.34/$.35 per box.
Thanks for your hard work. I really hate that my local Publix opens (grand opening!) this week and this is the sale they have…not sure it’s even worth drivng seven miles! Pitiful sale…oh well, maybe next week will be better.
they varyyyy keep your head up….I know those weeks I have cleared my pantry this past month for lack of sales on stuff we buy my poor meat and dairy pile is dwindling down so fast. Publix usually has a few special deals for the first few weeks after a grand opening. Our store had all Kellogg’s cereal bogo for the first week. They also had bogo Publix ice cream for a few weeks in a row. Along with some other special sales on produce and meat for the grand opening.

There is a $1/3 target q on the General Mills cereal that is due to expire on 12/16. I’m not sure which paper it came out in, but it would go well with the Cheerios for $1.99. They will come out being $.99/box if you use:
(4) $.75/1 Cheerios Q
(1) $1/3 TQ
= $7.96 (1.99 x 4) – $3 (.75 x 4) – $1 = $3.96 or $.99/box

in the past, that Q has always automatically given the full value, i.e. $2.50. If you have 2 Q’s then you would buy 6 boxes @ $1.55 each = $9.27, after the 2 FREE Q’s take off $2.50 each (-$5) = $4.27 or $0.71 each. HTH

I’ve been ‘extreme couponing’ for many years b/c we have a large family on one income. I learned this rule years ago and now i never have to doubt. Lay out your coupons on the products, remembering that if they’re all mfg, no more than 1 coupon per product. Example:
#1 coupon is on totinos.
#2 coupon is on 2 bags of totinos.
#3 coupon is on the ranch dressing.
You must buy 3 Totinos & 1 ranch to make the deal work.
3 @ 1.50 each (not in FL) + 1 dressing = $2.50 for everything!
I believe you should put these items in your cart: 2 Totinos (40ct), 1 Ranch, 1 other frozen food item (maybe a cheap burrito if you’re trying to keep OOP low). Great stack!
You can’t use the frozen food Q on the Totinos because the $1/2 is being used on them.

I got my gas card today
It is. I went to use it today and the LU didn’t work. Luckily, the manager went ahead and okayed it.
I just returned from Publix. I had not noticed that the gas card deal did not start with my sale today. The cashier informed me when I handed her my coupons that she couldn’t use it. I had her take the gas card off. I almost had her cancel the whole transaction, but my Publix is good to me and didn’t want to cause problems….or do my whole shop again tomorrow. The front end manager had to key in #s and told me I could ask tomorrow and maybe a manager would approve it. I would have waited until tomorrow to shop if I had noticed the dates. I try to shop Thursday because it isn’t as busy and I usually have quite a few coupons. Not sure I will try to go back for it. I’m so mad at myself for not noticing and a little disappointed that they wouldn’t override it.

My sale started today here in NE GA and the ad does not show the Libby or the Campbell’s condensed soup as being on sale here. Those were the two things I was looking forward to re-stocking on.
Me too! But I’m about to head into the store to see if hopefully (keeping fingers crossed) that it is, because I really wanted the Libby’s. Last week, ours didn’t have the Nestle La Lechera milk bogo, it was regular.

My store doesn’t even carry the Libby cans. I could have sworn I saw them there before and had like 20 coupons ready to use..lol. But they do have the small individual ones BOGO so we can use the Publix coupon on those at least. I stock up on fruit because my daughter takes her lunch every day.

There is a $5 MIR when you buy 3 qualifying Starbucks products (which includes the 4pk of frappuccinos). Great deal when you include the $1/1 PQ I am stocking up, especially when using it to get the gas card. It looks like the MIR is for a Starbucks card.

It does not specify that you have to use it on the tub. So, it includes the mix.

Does anyone know if the $10 GC wyb $50 Target Coupon will be honored at Publix? My Publix takes target as a competitor, and I was going to try it to see what happened. It would be great if they would honor that and do the Gas card deal as well. Like saving $20 on $50! I’m just not sure if it would work like that. Does anyone have any tips? I know it never hurts to try, but I wanted to see if it worked/didn’t work for anyone. I’m in the Byron, GA area.

Im in AL and our publix is not doing it they are making us choose between a save alot coupon/ winn dixie 5 off 25 or the gift card it sucks i had 301.00 total could have gotten 6 precoupons and they didnt let me do it
Yeah it worked for me. At first I had trouble when the Target Q when it first came out, but I have done it and they accept the exchange for a Publix gift card and I also used a Save a lot $5 off 30 and got the Nike Gift card deal for $10 off $50 all in 1 transaction. The manager was called over and approved it and said Yes the Q are all for different things so there IS NO Conflict or double use.

I work at a Publix Store in Florida and Fresh Express is BOGO this week. I didn’t see it in the ad.
If you have a Latino version of Publix (Publix Sabor) near you or get their weekly ad then you’ll find a SQ for $3 on this week’s rice deal that becomes even better if you are on the mataht,a list and use their $1.

bought this yesterday, used both q’s…no problem. The winn dixie q’s are manufacture… -1/2. the publix q is for the free eggs.

Did anybody else notice the TAZO tea concentrate and boxed leaf tea were on sale for $2.99? These are included in the Starbucks $5 rebate wyb 3 items. Does anyone know if there are any Tazo coupons out there? Without Q’s its $8.97/3 – $5 rebate = $3.97 for 3 boxes of Tazo! I just checked the photo I took of the shelf price and the little card says (its blurry) good through January ?? So, this is should still be available for all. Again, if anyone knows of a coupon…
