Mrs. Smith’s Signature Deep Dish Pies Review & Giveaway

One of the perks of running this site is that I get the opportunity to try out some great products. I was recently given the opportunity to try the Mrs. Smith’s Signature Deep Dish pies. I just couldn’t turn down the chance to try out some yummy desserts.
The holidays are when I spend the most time in the kitchen. Baking and cooking up goodies for guests, parties, cookie swaps, holiday dinners, school parties and more. It can get crazy! I am always looking for a way to simplify. When I have folks over for dinner, I try to have a couple of dessert options. I also like to actually be able to spend time with my guests instead of stuck in the kitchen. The Mrs. Smith’s pies allow me to serve a great dessert with almost no effort.
Mrs. Smith’s Signature Deep Dish pies are available in 4 varieties:
- Signature Deep Dish Dutch Apple Pie with Caramel Sauce
- Signature Deep DishCherry Pie with Butter Fudge Sauce
- Signature Deep Dish Peach Pie with Cream Cheese Icing
- Signature Deep Dish Pumpkin Pie with Cream Cheese Icing
We sampled all of the pies and my family’s favorite by far was the Signature Deep Dish Dutch Apple Pie with Caramel Sauce. It was just delicious. The pie was fantastic and the addition of the Caramel Sauce made it just delicous. I let the boys decorate their pie with the sauce. They had a blast adding a little design of flavor to their pies. The sauce added a nice finish to an already delcious dessert!

We tried the deep dish apple with caramel at Thanksgiving! We agree with your boys, the pie was yummy and adding the topping was fun. I’d like to try the cherry pie next! As for the gift card – I would use it to buy something fun but not necessarily necessary for the kitchen!

I have to say that I recently tried the Deep Dish Dutch apple pie with caramel sauce during Thanksgiving at our favorite CAMPSITE! My 17 yr old insisted that we try this pie and we baked it in a dutch oven over the coals. After a day of setting up camp and preparing dinner over the fire it was a treat to pop this delish pie into the dutch oven without any fuss. The caramel sauce was the “icing” on this pie as we couldn’t serve ice cream ( to cold outside anyway). Now my son wants to try the Cherry pie. Me too so that’s the next one we’ll get if we win this contest. I would definitely purchase some much needed hot mats and dish towels from William-Sonoma! thanks for letting me share my true story.

I think it would be a great discussion between my hubby and I. I am partial to apple and he is partial to cherry. I think if I shopped alone I would get the apple. As for Williams-Sonoma we would definitely get the knives. We have a local store near us and love it….

If I had a gift card for W.S. I’d like to put it towards a Cuisinart Electric Pressure Cooker. My mom always used a pressure cooker that made that noise when it heated up. I’ve heard horror stories about how dangerous they can be. So I was always afraid of that thing. But now they make these electric ones with all kinds of safety features. So I’m looking forward to pressure cooking without anxiety.

I would definitely buy the apple pie with caramel sauce – I usually make a pie just like that for Thanksgiving and couldn’t this year because we had some last-minute kitchen work done. I bought Mrs. Smith’s pre-baked Dutch Apple pie and it was delicious so I’m sure these all are as well.

I would hop in my car using my inexpensive gas from my GAS cards I get really cheap, head to my favorite store Publix and purchase the YUMMY Signature Deep Dish Dutch Apple Pie with Caramel Sauce i would then bring it to our local fire department for an unexpected treat of course I would bring along some Vanilla ice cream that I got very cheap with coupons and tell them they are appreciated! Then I would head over to Williams-Sonoma with my free Gift Card that I was blessed with and would scrounge for coupons or fabulous deals and get as many household items I could and then drop the new items off at a woman’s shelter or to foster families and I would just keep the cycle of giving going, its a snow ball effect, you see if it wasn’t for this site and the wonderful people who bless us by running and maintaining it I wouldn’t have cheaper gas to go get the pie to give to the fireman, nor the gas to go to Williams-Sonoma to get items to bless others with!
It’s Christmas the time to give not receive, and I received the biggest gift of Salvation so I need very little else, God supply’s all my needs!

I will try the peach pie with cream cheese topping. I picked up 18 cream cheeses free doing my I heart Publix deal. I used it everyway possible, love me some cream cheese. I would give the gift card to my daughter for Christmas, who showed me the way to couponing with the help of I heart publix. She is a strict coupon shopper with Publix and has helped many friends and relatives save money and help others in need.

The Dutch Apple Pie looks oh so good. I would definitely try that one first.
As far as the gift card, I really need a new dinnerware set, so that is what I would buy! At Thanksgiving, we had a few extra people come over at last minute. I didn’t have enough plates for everyone. I had to pull out the handy paper plates. LOL It worked, but definitely think I should have more plates on hand.

The Apple pie with caramel sauce was a great hit for Thanksgiving so I definitely recommend it to everyone – only thing would be to not put all the caramel sauce on top unless you are sure you will not have leftovers. THe caramel sauce is oh so yummy to put on a warmed up piece of apple pie the next day. As for the gift card I would use it to either buy a gift for my son and his new bride or a beautiful new tablecloth for Thanksgiving.

As far as the Williams Sonoma gift card, I have always wanted to try their caramel apple. I believe it only comes out around this time og year so the timing is perfect. Or I might buy some newbaking pans as mine are so old, maybe a bundt pan, I have always wanted one.

Deep dish pumpkin pie! Although that deep dish apple pie sounds yummy! I am not a big apple pie fan but this Thanksgiving I did eat a few slices (OK maybe more) of Mrs. Smith’s apple pie and it was delicious, especially warm and with a dallop of cool whip!
