Is this right,I can Buy 4 Boxes of Ziploc bags for 6 Dollars use 2 Publix and 2 Manufacturers to pay $2
and then get $2 of Publix Deli Meat for Free?
(If I only get $2 dollars worth)

    Is my math correct?

    • Ashley says:

You would have to buy 6 boxes of bags because the Publix meat coupon states $2 of Publix deli meat wyb 3 ziploc, etc. You could get 6 boxes of bags use (3) $1/2 mq (3) $1/2 pq and pay $3. Your purchase would then qualitfy you to receive $2 off the meat.

      • Jamie says:

Why can’t I buy 4 why do I need to buy 6? Sorry Confused
        If the coupon states 3?

        • jennifer says:

I was able to do this deal yesterday buying 4 boxes. I asked at the CS counter first and they said that was fine, one of the Publix coupons covers the boxes and the other Publix coupon covers the meat, so they were fine with it. I let them make that decision.

      • Anita says:

Use 2 of the $2 off deli meat coupons if you are buying 6 boxes. I believe the coupon is for $2 off when you buy 3. Any way that’s what I did on Saturday. ;)

    • MaryC says:

Looks correct to me. I plan to try it tomorrow. Love the free Deli meat!!

  2. Ruth says:

    May I ask…
Can we use both of the store yellow Advantage coupons if we buy two Ziploc and also the Publix deli meat? I think that one of the yellow Advantages works off the bags, and the other is off the meat when you buy the bags. (Plus the MQ of course). I’m never quite sure with the ‘buy this, get money off that’ coupons…
    thanx folks.

  3. Andy says:

I asked at my store yesterday and they let me! Made for a great deal! Think I might go back for more! In order for it to work out for max savings I bought six ziploc, used 3 Man($1off 2), 3 adv ($1 off 2) and 2 adv ($2 off meat when you buy 3 ziploc).

  4. I did this deal last week and my store let me buy six boxes, use three Publix Q’s, 3 man Q’s and two of the deli meat coupons. Their understanding was that the deli q’s attached to the meat not the bags : )

  5. Patty says:

Just as an FYi the bags that are 2/$3 at my store in central fl are only the snack size. They do have other sizes 2/$4 which is still a great deal with the $2 off deli meat.

    • catherine says:

my store had three different sizes on sale. I love the big freezer bags!

    • Lisa says:

I’m also in Central Florida (Clermont) and my store had the snack size and sandwich size at 2/$3. I was able to use the lunchmeat coupon with the store Ziploc and the manu. coupons. Great deal!

  6. catherine says:

I even used the 75/4 on Buddig meats that are BOGO right now.

  7. Andy says:

at my store they also had the sandwich bags 50 count 2/$3. Jamie you can get four boxes and just use one deli meat coupon, but I figured why not buy two more which allows me to use another meat coupon. It is a good deal. IMO.

  8. Rebekah says:

So, assuming my store allows me to use both the $1/2 Ziploc and $2/1 meat Publix coupons…just wanted some feedback on this deal idea:

    Buy (12)Ziploc sandwich bags @ $1.50 each = $18
    Buy (4)lunch meat @ $2 each = $8
    Buy (1)KoolAde packet @ 4/$1 (this is a filler item) = $0.25
    Subtotal = $26.25+tax
    Use (6)$1/2 mfr coupons = $20.25+tax
    and (6)$1/2 Publix coupons = $14.25+tax
and (4)$2/1 Publix lunch meat coupons = $6.25
    and (1)$5/$25 SaveaLot coupon = $1.25+tax
    Total = $2.33

What are your thoughts? Is this correct? I have four computers to print from, so I will have enough of the printable coupons for this transaction; it would be fantastic if I could do it.

    • Christine says:

Sounds good to me, but why do you need a filler item?

      • Andy says:

Probably so it won’t require an override, which happens when you have more coupons than items. It happened to me once so now I do this too. It saves time when the manager doesn’t have come to key in a code especially when you have people behind you in line who are already unhappy that you have coupons!

        • Maureen says:

If you’re lucky enough, there will be a customer service person in one of the check out lines. (they already have the number to key in, so no manager will be required) Either way, I don’t really worry about the people behind me anymore. I used to, but if someone wants to be nasty, then they will be nasty… and THAT is their problem, not mine or yours. One time the guy behind me was cussing under his breath, the cashier even heard it and chuckled with me as he collected his things and moved to another line. Ever since that episode, I decided that I cannot continue to worry about how people react to day to day situations. Stress breeds stress in this situation, and none of us need any more of that. Bottom line- NO filler required-IMO:)

          • Alicia says:

I agree! I used to worry about having people wait, but when I save hundreds of dollars in one transaction….. I don’t care too much any more. I do let them know when they get behind me that I have alot of coupons, and it will take longer than normal. I do let my cashier know ahead of time that I will have more coupons than items. Normally the supervisor has to put the code in 3-4 times. I think it’s ridiculous… if they allow 2 coupons per item, then their system should be set up to allow it. It just adds more work for the CSM.

  10. RN1 says:

I don’t understand why Publix is allowing both the $1/2 coupon and the $2 off deli meat wyb Ziploc coupon to be used together. It is my understanding of their policy including their FAQs that if a coupon requires the purchase of a particular item in order to use a coupon that no other coupon can be used against that item if it is the same type coupon (store/competitor or manufacturer). Since both are store coupons and the purchase of the Ziplocs is required to use the $2 off coupon, how is another store coupon being used for the Ziplocs? Great deal if your particular store allows it I guess. My store is pretty strict about coupons and limits numbers of items so I won’t even attempt, not to mention I wouldn’t feel right about doing the deal that way. I am thrilled with 50cents/box.

  11. elaine says:

I’ve been doing this deal with no problems. I think the 2.00 off q.
attaches to the deli meat and the others attach to the ziploc. I
guess it depends on how strict your store is. YMMV.

  12. bethany says:

Is this 2/3 at all stores? i only see signs for 2/4 at my store. im in northwest florida

  13. Andrea says:

does it have to be meat from the deli counter? or can you get prepackaged meat? we only eat empire….

  14. Andrea says:

All you guys worried about the cashier and other customer’s reactions…I had two people, including an employee, ask me about the deal… And the cashier and the woman behind me in line both wrote down the address of this website…. So don’t worry lol

I didn’t do the deli meat part since I keep kosher and I think it’s just meat from the deli counter
