What’s For Dinner 7/3

July 3, 2012

Whats For Dinner 7/3I have been off my schedule a bit. There has been so much going on over the past week that I did not stick to my menu as well as I had hoped. Getting back from our trip to Gulf Shores was tough, I couldn’t get as organized as quickly as I had hoped.

Now that I am finally back in the swing of things I made an insane decision…we are headed to Chattanooga for a few days. It hit me that the boys really only have a few weeks left before they go back to school! So, if I we are going to do what I had planned this summer we have to get going!

While the beach trip was fun, it was too short and really just stuck in during our visit to my husband’s family. I decided that I wanted to get out a bit while we have time. The boys go back to school the 2nd week of August so we only really have a month of summer left!

I hope to get back on track next week….fingers crossed!

I am going to try my hand at a 4th of July cake like the one above. I am not sure if mine will be as pretty but I am going to give it a shot icon smile Whats For Dinner 7/3

Making a crab and pasta salad. The imitation crab, pasta & Kraft salad dressing was BOGO so I am excited about the savings! Also doing grilled chicken quesadillas with homemade salsa with items from my garden (YUM). Going to make a couple of tomato and bacon pies (Sounds weird but soooo soooo good) for the 4th to take to a party. That is all on my list right now.

Let me know what kid-friendly things there are to do in Chattanooga. We are headed there at the end of the month for a pastor’s conference, and I want to keep my kids occupied! Thanks!
