Happy Friday guys!
My birthday is on Sunday and this is kind of a big one so I am milking it for all I can. I have decided that my birthday celebrations should start today and go all the way through Sunday. I am turning the big 40! I am not one to flip out about getting older. In all honestly, I feel as good as I did when I was 20. My days are now a bit more hectic and some days the boys can make me feel like I am 80+
My day has already been awesome. I received a couple of deliveries thanks to some wonderful friends and have a beautiful orchid on my countertop and a big beautiful fruit arrangement from Edible Arrangements that includes some chocolate covered strawberries- YUM!
I can’t wait to see what is in store for the rest of the weekend. I am hoping for a chance to sleep in at some point this weekend.
I have not shopped Publix yet. Once I get this post done, we are going to take off so we can get the boys to the horse farm for lessons/therapy. I need to do a quick Publix run because I really want to try and grab a couple of bags of Caribou coffee for my husband before that coupon expires.
If I get a chance to run in I will just add what I spend to next week’s totals.
I did go to Kroger once this week. I was invited to a bloggers event for my one of my other websites. At the event I got to hang out with chefs, taste food and get some freebies and coupons. While I was there I took advantage of the goodies and a few deals.
Here is what I got this week. None of the items were really needed for my menu this week but I wanted to take advantage of some free money
Goldfish x 7 = $6.93
Scotch Brite Sponges x 2 = $3.28 two $0.50/1 IP)
Gorton Fish = $1.49 ($0.50/1 mailer)
DeWafflebakker Pancakes x 4 = overage (free product coupon)
Drumstick Novelties = $1.99 ($1/1 IP)
Naked Coconut Water = overage ($1/1 IP)
Jell-O Gelatin x 2 = $3.46
GoGurt = $3.49
Sunny D = 99¢
Lunchables x 4 = $5.01
Country Time Half & Half x 2 = $0 (two $2/1 IP)
Pop-Tarts 12 ct x 2 = $4
Bananas = $2.08
Rotisserie Chicken = $0 (free prod coupon)
Skinny Cow Candy = $0 (free prod coupon)
Frozen purchase coupon = -$5
Kroger $5/$50 coupon = -$5
The Kroger registers gave me a bit of overage on the free product coupons (yes I am shocked too!) I got the full discount of the free product items before the sale. So I ended up spending about $23 for everything. It is a weird mix of items but, they were running a mega sale. My goal was to get as many things that we would use and taking advantage of the $10 of free money I got with the coupons.
