I am first!!! WOW! Thanks Michelle! See a few things we need!

  2. Susan says:

Thanks, Michelle! Highlight of my week!

  3. Laura says:

Yay for beneful dog food on sale!!

    • Toni says:

Beneful almost killed my dog! Please look at the ingredients anything with biproducts are really bad or your pets. She is on medication for the rest of her life now ;( we switched to wellness brand and wow what a difference. Def worth it in the long run healthier dog that you will love for much longer

      • Shelley says:

I stocked up on the free Beneful when they had that deal a couple months ago knowing that we were getting a dog in May. I was using it for about a month until my sister-in-law about came through the phone when I told her what I was feeding our dog. He was fine with the Beneful, but I’m paranoid so I switched, lol. I’ve been giving him Blue Buffalo and he seems to like it. You can get a coupon for that on their website!

I hope your dog is feeling better!

      • Karen says:

Just got two adorable Beagles from the Humane Society last week and picked up a bag of Beneful because I thought it was good stuff. Both of them got sick. Put them on some better food and now they are much better.

        • pchacker says:

OMG – Our lab had a really bad reaction too!!! When I was able to score 4 freebie bags before, I had them in my “to donate” pile b/c it wasn’t our brand. Well one night we had run out so I cracked open the bag and she LOVED it.

I figured…well…if she loves it…in a couple days time she started scratching, patches of hair started falling out from everywhere and she seemed to lose her natural demeanor.

We had to put her on two meds and gave her some time away from that horrible food and she started acting more natural. We’re still waiting for some of her hairless spots to grow back but she’s at least acting better than she was before.

          STEER CLEAR of that food!!!

          • Gina says:

We have 3 dogs that all have been eating Beneful for the past year and a half. (2) Beagles & (1) Chihuahua. No problems what so ever. They love it!! The ingredients are better than what is in Pedigree….Read that and be scared.

        • Gail says:

My pitbull had an awful allergic reaction to Benefil as well. It cost me almost $300 in vet bills and medication to clear up his allergies. Since then, even though I don’t give him Benefil, he’s very sensitive and breaks out occasionally just from yard allergins. I’d stay away from it also.

    • bree says:

Beneful has been a wonderful switch for our two German Shepherds. Shepherds are notorious for having sensitive stomachs and we were giving them Pedigree…their hair was falling out and they were itching ALL the time. Switched to Beneful and they are of healthy weight and have beautiful coats again. I recommend the brand without hesitation.

      • Wendi says:

I agree, my dog generally throws up any food (even expensive/specialty brands only available at the pet store), but she hasn’t had any more stomach problems since I switched her to Beneful Healthy Weight. I recommend it to everyone.

      • Tracy says:

My keeshond has eaten beneful for almost her entire life(8 yo) and it doesn’t seem to bother her in the least.

    • Gigi says:

I don’t know what it is about dog food. Our beagle got sick after eating a certain type of Iams. I thought it was expired or something until I read articles on the internet about other dogs getting sick, too. I have heard that chicken jerky has made certain dog sick, as well. Are dogs extra sensitive or is there no testing on the food?

      • Michelle says:

The problem with dog food is CORN!! Watch King Corn and you will never buy anything that is corn based every again. God did not design dogs, cows, cats, to eat corn.

      • Deb says:

That chicken jerky has KILLED some beloved pets.

As for other pet foods-you cannot just S-W-I-T-C-H a dogs food cold turkey. To prevent serious digestive problems like diarrhea and vomiting you must introduce a new food very slowly-perhaps a Tbls. mixed in with their usual food for several days & then slowly increase the amount. They cannot handle abrupt dietary shifts-their little stomachs are not like ours.
I NEVER put a new foodin front of our 15-yr. old Chihuahua, Nikki. When I get all the free samples it is donated.

    • Michelle says:

My dog broke out in hives all over her entire body from eating Purina Beneful. Poor thing was sooooo itchy.

    • Sarah says:

Please look up the ingredients in the pet food you buy. Most would be very surprised at what is being sold as “healthy”. As far as Beneful, it contains corn as the first ingredient which is cheap filler and not good for dogs. It also has bi-products and animal digest.

  4. Lisa says:

Super early – was hoping for Quaker instant oatmeal again. Maybe next week. Looks like a pretty good week for me. Thanks Michelle. Love Monday a.m.

    • elina says:

has anyone had this problem. I went to get some cream of wheat and to my surprise. I had little black bugs in them, i live in florida ended up throwing away cereal and flour. any clues how to stop them, I am very neat but I have no idea where they came from. Thank you for the early update, I am super pschyed.
Oh does anyone know oh a good remedy for a rash (caused from latex tape, I had cancer surgery last week) I was covered with tape now covered in hives.
thanks. PS surgery went well but I do need chemo and radiation starting next week, Lucky me…. Sincerely, Elina

      • Peg says:

Ella, if you can pull the box out of the trash, take it back to Publix next time you go to the store. If not, take your receipt and tell them what happened. I took back some bread that tasted stale 1 day after buying it and they let me exchange it. They have EXCELLENT customer service – one of the things I LOVE about Publix! I wish I could help you with a rash remedy but I don’t know. However, when I had surgery, bits of the latex tape stuck to me and the only thing that got it off was fingernail polish remover. My prayers for God’s peace to surround and uphold you as you go through your treatments and for a speedy recovery.

      • Carrie #2 says:

I live in FL also and anything that might get bugs in it, like you mentioned, I keep in the fridge or in a tight lidded jar. If the product came with bugs in it, then by all means, return to Publix. They should take it back with no questions asked. As for the rash, I would try googling your question and see what comes up and then check with your doctor to make sure it is okay to do with chemo and radiation. Hope you do well with those. Remember, God is willing to go through this with you (like “Footprints” poem), if you just ask Him.

      • Beth says:

I would try Bentonite Clay for the rash hun. Goodluck with your cancer battle, you will be in my thoughts and prayers! I hope the clay helps, you can buy it at health food stores. Take care!

Oh and the bugs you speak of, are VERY hard to get rid of. We keep our flour and cream of wheat or other similar items in the fridge, to keep the bugs out! :)

      • nikki says:

The little bugs are weevils. The larva can already be in the product at the store. They do not like cold so I always keep my flour in the fridge. I have cleaned everything out of my pantry and have put stuff in airtight containers. I have also heard that they don’t like bay leaves so I have some scattered on the shelves of my pantry. I found they like powdery things like pancake mix, cornmeal, flour, cornstarch, confetioners sugar but they were not in sugar, salt or brown sugar etc..

      • April Mann says:

I’m sorry that you are sick. I don’t have any remedies for the rash. However, for the bugs, find where they are the most. If there were quite a few of them alive in the cereal and/or flour, you probably found the source. If you find the source, get rid of it. Use bay leaves to help keep them at bay. I have gotten them in some stuff from Publix. They are icky. Good luck!

      • Emily says:

        Hey Elina,

Nikki is right about them being called weevils – they’re also referred to as flour beetles. They basically get into different grain products and thrive. We got a ton of them that we think started in our dog food – by the time we noticed them, and what type of different products they were in, we had to go through the whole pantry and get rid of tons of food. They got into extra boxes of pasta we had, bread crumbs, dog biscuits – anything basically that wasn’t sealed tight. They can also eat through cardboard – I found this is how they got into some of the pasta boxes and bread crumb cannisters. We keep everything in tupperware now unless it’s an impermeable containter (although my neighbor that owns a restaurant said she has found them in plastic packages of lentils they have received before, too). The suggestions about putting food in the fridge/freezer and using bay leaves I heard works real well. Also make sure to clean your pantry really well with bleach, as apparently their eggs are very small and white, so even if you eradicate the bugs themselves you might still have some eggs remaining waiting to hatch. Good luck! It’s a super pain, but once they’re all gone, it’s worth it :)

      • laureen says:

Unfortunately i learned the hard way i am allergic to band aids and medical tape. One ER trip and a dermatologist visit later, my dermatologist gave me a cream and said to use the vaseline intensive care lotion.

I can’t remember what it is called, but i can’t hurt to go see a dermatologist to get something for it.

I also use plain vaseline for rashes. I used to get blisters on my lips from chapstick (and i am ALSO allergic to that too which i also learned the hard way)

      • Michelle says:

        Hey Elina
Wishes sent your way for a speedy and successful treatment!!

I too get a massive rash from the medical adhesives used in hospitals. My entire back was a mess from the tape they put over the epidural they ran down my back for my c-sections. Seriously the rash & pain was worse than the c-section…I also got some sort of cream from the dermatologist. From what I hear it is somewhat common…I bet your doc can call you in a prescription.

      • LS says:

They come from the product itself. They are weevils. Sometimes there are just larvae in the product when you buy it, but as it sits, they progress to grown bugs. For this reason, it is advisable to use caution in buying large amounts of grains (flour, rice, barley, etc). I’ve had this happen with brown rice and barley before. It sucks when they move from the original package to the rest of your pantry. Buy some air-tight containers and put your grains in them. That way, if you have an outbreak, it will be contained within that container rather than your entire stockpile. Dried beans can also carry them. I hear tale of outbreaks in things such as beanbag chairs!

Through out anything (!) that the weevils might like that was in the cabinet. Then scrub it out like mad! I took the precaution of switching my food cabinet with my plates cabinet figuring if I missed something, they’d starve with nothing but Fiestaware to keep them company :)

      • Hunter says:

My parents live in FL and they had weevils in the pantry. I cleaned the whole thing out and sprayed top to bottom with white vinegar. It’s safe for the family but not the bugs.

        • Heather says:

Sorry you are having to go through all the cancer treatments. As for the tape allergy I would really consult you doctor. Especially while undergoing radiation. There are a lot of creams even one that will help that can cause a serious burn when combined with radiation. I am an RN if that counts for anything. Latex allergy is becoming fairly common and there are oral treatments that can help. Many people can be fine with latex and then all of the sudden develope the allergy to it. Make sure all your doctors know of your allergy. There are non latex supplies and tapes that they need to use intead. My prayers are with you and your family.

        • Tammy says:

I live in FL and my pantry got infested with weevils they are so hard to get rid of. I had to throw out so much food. Now I put pasta and flour in the freezer for 24hrs and then keep it in glass jars.

I am also a big fan of cleaning with vinegar. It works amazingly well, it’s not harmful to the family, and it’s inexpensive.

      • Char Baldwin says:

For your rash and hives get either a fresh aloe plant or gel(100%). While you are on treatment this is the only thing that will not interfer with medications and radiation, also it will help with the burn from radiation. Good luck you r in my prayers and thoughts. They gave me 2 months to live after 3 yrs of treatment for reocurring breast cancer which had spread. I used the fresh aloe plants and applied 2x daily it even took away the tatoes and scares.

      • Amanda says:

The little bugs are grain/wheat weevils. They usually are already in the product by the time you buy it at the store. It’s almost impossible to detect them when you’re buying it, unless it’s completely infested. Ive had to throw out half of my pantry twice because of it. Now EVERYTHING is either in a ziploc bag or a sealed container. They’re tricky little suckers!

  5. Jenn says:

    Thanks!!!

  6. Tracie says:

Whoop Whoop! This is all stuff we actually EAT! This will be a good week of shopping in my house. Thanks for the early preview :)

  7. April says:

Thanks, Michelle! Already have my coupons ordered from Coupon Beat! Certainly looking forward to Greenwise Whole Chicken for $1.99/lb

    • Lisa says:

The Greenwise Whole Chickens @ 1.99 are my favorite buy for the week also – my family CAN tell the difference between the “good” chicken and the regular chicken. We save so much with coupons that we can easily afford the better chicken. And just a note- these freeze VERY well!

  8. Amy says:

Ok, now I have that song by the Mama’s and the Papa’s in my head and I can’t get it out. ;) “Monday Monday, so good to me, Monday Monday, it was all I hoped it would be.” Good ad…Thanks, Michelle! :D

  9. lisa says:

    thanks… a few good deals

  10. Lisa says:

I don’t see the Chobani yogurt coupon on Target’s website. Has anyone found it?

    • Michelle says:

I think the Chobani is under the back to school coupons…if it is still there.

    • Lisa says:

Hi, I’m a different “Lisa” but I had the same problem – I looked under Grocery’s – no Chobani so I pulled up the search all tab and simply scrolled thru till I found it – it came up fairly quickly – it IS STILL there – just requires patience!

    • Oldtimer says:

I would have no issue if Target had categorized the coupon under BOTH “Grocery” AND “Back to School”.

Logically, SOME “Grocery” items may also be “Back to School” items, but clearly, not all “Back to School” items are “Grocery” items.

Hence, by categorizing the coupon ONLY under “Back to School”, Target is implying that “Chobani Champions Greek Yogurt” is NOT a “Grocery” item.

  11. Karen says:

There is a $2/10 Fancy Feast Tq on Target.com.

  12. tt says:

thank you so much! it seems that “-$1/1 Chobani Champions Greek Yogurt 4-pk Target Coupon” has gone

  13. Amy G says:

    Thanks Michelle :)

  14. Jennifer says:

    Great ad! Thanks Michelle!

I have a couple .50/1 Softsoap peelies that expire 7/31. Wish my store doubled, but .50 hand soap is still good!

  15. tiffany says:

there is a tearpad for $1/1 Juicy Juice Frutifuls

  16. Eric says:

Anyone know of any coupons for the Earths best baby food?

    • Sarah says:

Try going to their website. I printed mine a few weeks ago but maybe they are still available.

    • tampatwinmom says:

I have not seen them for probably 6 months at least I wish I could though!

      • Nicole says:

If you are signed up with the Publix Baby club, in their recent home mailing there is a $1/10 Earth’s best baby foods. Assorted varieties 2.5 to 4oz jar. Coupon is good through 9/19/12

  17. johne says:

I do not believe that the $1/1 Flatout Soft Pretzel Foldit Flatbread Publix Booklet, Summer Grilling Publix Coupon (exp 07/28/2012)is a match for the ad. The Flatout Soft Pretzel Foldit Flatbread normally sells for $2.99 in metro Atlanta. They do have other products that sell for $3.19 regularly.

    • Jenna says:

every area is different, I’m south of ATL and the pretzle kind was over $3 regular price. so it may be included in the sale too. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

    • LS says:

I’m in Florida. The pretzel kind was not included last time Flatout was on BOGO. I think it’s a slightly lighter weight package. It sells for $2.99 here. I used the Publix coupons with MQs last week to get them for $0.99 each.

  18. Julie says:

Thank You Michelle again for such a hard work you do putting these deals together for us couponers! you are very much appreciated and it makes me actually look forward to my Mondays!

  19. Jennifer says:

This looks like an awesome week. Thanks Michelle!

  20. Cindy says:

I dont think the Horizon Milk coupons are a match for what is on sale. The coupons are for 3 packs and the sale is for singles. Trust me, I wish they were a match!

  21. Andrea says:

Thanks for the Chobani listing. It’s definitely worth a try at .50. Thanks to everyone who commented on where to find the Target coupon as well. That was a big help.

  22. Laura says:

I have a coupon that says Save $1.00 when you buy one package of Pepperidge Farm Hot Dog or Hamburger buns AND any one package of Ground Beef or Packaged Hot Dogs. This was a product peelie found on the buns and expires 8/31/12. It should go nicely with the Oscar Mayer Publix coupon, especially if you have two of the peelie’s since the buns are BOGO.

  23. Melissa Ramadan says:

Can’t find the Mt. Olive pickle coupon anywhere in the 6/24 inserts. Was that a GA specific coupon? Look at the online clipping site I use and it’s not there either. :(

    • Shelley says:

I’m in Orlando, and I NEVER get those pickle coupons! So jealous…

      • Ssrah says:

I am in Tampa and we haven’t gotten a pickle coupon in a long time. I think I am going to order a bunch and just stock up as it seems we might not be getting any pickle coupons again.

      • Carrie #2 says:

I’m in Palatka and I was thinking the same thing when I searched for it a few minutes ago. We didn’t even get the Pringles coupon that CVS says in their ad should have been in the paper yesterday. If I wasn’t a born and bred Floridian with family close by, I would be tempted to leave the state based on the quality of coupons we get and how other states are able to double their coupons. It is SO expensive to live here!!

    • Gina says:

I’ve never been able to find a Mt. Olive coupon in any insert in the Tampa area… I have to be satisfied with the BOGO…

    • Kristin says:

I actually found a 50/1 in Huntsville, AL. Doubles to $1.00 for me. But no Nutella coupon. :(

  24. Melissa B. says:

Has anyone else had any trouble finding the back to school coupon books (start school like a champion)?? Every year I have a very difficult time finding these coupon booklets. Actually, I have NEVER been able to find the awesome back to school ones with the Eggo, cereal, milk coupons. If anyone has some extra, may I please trade with you?? We have FIVE kids, and I need some Eggo coupons!! LOL

    • Carrie #2 says:

I have the same problem with my store. I never even saw the Game Day booklet periodically mentioned either.

      • lynn says:

i was at Wal-mart today and they had a huge display by the check out lines. The display is fairly tall ( with some of the products ) The coupon books were at the top of the display . All items are Kellogg”s & Keebler. I live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida.

        • alisha says:

          at Walmart?

          • lynn says:

            Yep at Wal-Mart…
It says “Over $15.00 in coupons on the front of the booklet”. A girl in a yellow top raising her hand at her desk ,is the picture on the front. ” Start school like a champion” — coupons for Eggo’s, Cheez-it, kellogg’s cereal, pop-tarts etc… All manufacturer coupons.

  25. Laura says:

Forgot to mention that there are also $.55 peelies on Pop Tarts right now at my Publix.

  26. Stephanie says:

Looks like a great week for this ad!! Plenty of deals for us!!

  27. Laura says:

There is also a Publix coupon (found as a tearpad and in the Yellow Advantage Flyer) for $2.00 off any two Coca-Cola 8 pack/7.5 oz products.

  28. tiffany says:

  29. Leann says:

For those of you that the ad starts on Wednesday make sure to get an extra ad this week & you can do the gas card deal again, it doesn’t expire until the 25th. The smaller coupons for the gas card that they put out now by the ads expire Tuesday so make sure to get the one out of this weeks ad:)

  30. Tameka says:

There is a $1 off coupon for the Kraft singles 12oz. from the Back to school Winn Dixie Paper.

  31. jamie says:

Does.anyone know how much ground veal usually goes for? My store doesn’t carry it but I’ve been meaning to call to ask if they’ll bring some in for me. My publix is very customer friendly like that.

    Thanks.

  32. Jennifer says:

I printed a coupon from the Juicy Juice website, but it says it’s for $1.00 off three products. Can someone tell me how to get to the fruitfuls 8 pack coupon? Thanks!

  36. Holly says:

I saw the Ragu was BOGO in the first post, but now it’s gone =(

    • Jenna says:

it’s still there, just a few above the Mt. Olive pickles

      • Holly says:

        I see it now…Thx!! =)

        • Crystal says:

when I am looking for a particular brand and don’t know where it is, I use the find function. Hold down the cntrl key on your keyboard, then press “f”. A find field will appear where you can type Ragu or pasta or whatever you are looking for, and when you hit enter, it will find the first match for you, and hit it again and it will find the word again. I am constantly using it on this site.

          • Rachel says:

Oh my stars!!!! I had no idea that could be done! Thankyou soooo much!!!!

          • Angie says:

Where’s the ‘LIKE’ button? I want to ‘LIKE’ Rachel’s comment just because she says ‘Oh my stars!’- LOVE IT!

    • gardengirl says:

In the Publix Back to School sale booklet that is in the stores, the Ragu 16 to 24oz jars are BOGO thru August 7th.

  37. crystal says:

about time for a good ad!!!

  38. denise says:

Found $1.50/2 shout blinkies (mq) at my store last week. Makes them 74c each after stack with tq.

  39. lee says:

the doritos coupon says 12 oz or larger. your ad says 10.5 to 11.5 oz

  40. Michelle says:

There’s a $1/1 mq for Ore-Ida grillers – hopefully those are included in the sale – and just in time!

  41. Chelsea says:

The Doritos coupon says 12oz or larger so it won’t work for this sale :(

  42. MargaretN says:

I thought there was a Target coupon for the larger Tidy Cats litter? Something like $5/2. Anyone know if that one is still around? I can go one county over and shop on Wednesday to get it if the dates are close. I have eight cats (no, not the crazy cat lady, just love them and couldn’t give up the unexpected kittens). Any help would be appreciated. I’m gonna scan the databases too. Thanks

    • Cali says:

I went on the target site to view coupons and no tidy cat :( I really need some as well. My Publix takes target coupons. I was hoping for a BOGO.

  43. Jenn says:

I am SO in the minority with this ad – too much pre-sweetened cereal, pop-tarts, chips, hot dogs, bacon for me. Only found a couple things, but as always….thanks Michelle!

  44. Jennifer says:

Elina, when I was a kid I remember having those little black bugs in our food like rice and cereal so my parents still have all their pantry food in those big rubbermaid containers. They seem to be a south Florida thing

    • elina says:

jennifer thanks this is where the snapware comes in handy from previouds sale it definately is a florida thing. Im from new hampshire so heat and bugs are a part of my life now

    • Lana says:

Brought home the demon wevils in dog biscuits! They invaded my entire pantry before I found the source. Threw away so much food to get rid of them. Now, I keep pasta, flour, rice, etc. in the fridge in the garage and I save the glass jars that pasta sauce comes in & store beans, peas, anything that will fit in them so I can put them in the pantry.

      • Gail says:

Like you, Lana, I got mine in dog biscuits. I think these weevils invade the warehouses in the hotter locations. Publix did replace the dog biscuits, but I also threw out tons of staples in order to get rid of them completely. You have no other choice. I seal or freeze everything now.

  45. tiffany says:

I just found $1/1 scotch adult scissors blinkie exp 9-30-12 that may match the bogo sale

    • Dawn says:

That one is not going to be a match. However, my store’s regular price for adult scissors is $1.99 so it was only $.99 plus tax for a pair.

  46. Alison says:

The new Sweetbay coupon booklet may have some coupons to match with BOGO’s this week- $2/4 Kellogg, Keebler, Sunshine or Eggo products, to go with the Eggo waffle sale, and there is also a $1/2 Honey bunches of Oats coupon as well.

    • Kawanna says:

Are these SweetBay store coupons or manufacture coupons?

      • Gladys says:

        Hi Kawanna,

I just got a couple of booklets today and they are all Retailer Coupons with an Expiration Date of 8/31/12!! Hope this helps!!

    • Doris says:

Allison – where do you get the Sweetbay coupon booklets? Do they have them at the store; if so, in a certain area?

      • Gladys says:

        Hi Doris,

At my store, they had them in the front as soon as you walked in, in a Cardboard Holder, near Customer Service.

I called them ahead of time to see if they had them available! Hope this helps!!

  47. ann says:

I have 2 questions about the ziploc deal. The coupon in the yellow flyer states $2 on deli meat. Do I have to buy $2 in deli meat or can I buy less and have a MM or in this case use the overage on the ziploc bags ? Also, the coupon states “any 3 dixie or dixie ultra paper plates or bowls OR ziploc brand bags or containers. Does the 3 only applies to the dixie brand or also to the ziploc ? If anybody can help me THANKS :)

    • Crystal says:

The overage question is a good one. I am sure you need to buy deli meat, and if you could find something in the deli for less than $2, I don’t think that would stop you from getting overage. The coupon wants you to buy three items and deli meat for it to work, could be 3 ziploc, 3 dixie, or a combination but there must be three total of those items. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but that is how I would try to use it.

      • Crystal says:

        A differnt Crystal here…lol!

But I am wondering the same thing as Ann. What is the best possible scenario using the YAB coupons. Can we use both? The $2.00 Deli meat one and the $1.00/2 Ziploc ones since they are different items?

        In example:

        Buy :

        2 Ziploc Snack Bags $3.00
        $2.00 deli Meat( hypothetically)

        $1.00/2 Man Q Ziploc
        -$1.00/2 YAB Ziploc
-$2.00 Deli meat WYB 3 Ziploc YAB

        =$1.00 for all 3??

Thanks so much in advance for any input, this one has me puzzled!

  48. Deborah says:

Anybody sees the Bumble Bee coupon from Recyclebank?? I am afraid it is gone.

  49. Thank you for posting! Pretty excited about the Kellogg’s poptarts deal considering I have the $2 off milk coupon! :D

  54. Kristin says:

Two things: 1. For any skittles addicts that also get Kroger mailers – there was a $1/2 mfgr coupon in a recent booklet. 2. Can we use the $1/1 Hillshire farms Publix coupon in the Grilling booklet on the rope sausage that is 2/$6 in the ad? If so, use 2 publix coupons and the $1/2 mfgr coupon making them $1.50 each when you buy 2.

I’m happy to be able to give my daughter-in-law a little care package just for fun… I’m giving her some shampoo and conditioner and throwing in some Covergirl products, some Advil and some toothpaste… it would cost a pretty penny to buy all this stuff at retail but I got it all for next to nothing…

          Thanks again…

    • Natalee says:

Beneful, in my opinion, is one of the worst pet foods on the market. Proteins are primarily derived from corn gluten, which it not easily digestible for dogs. Most grocery store brands, including Beneful, contain “Animal Digest”, which is equivilent to “pink slime”, only worse. AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) defines “animal digest”. From Wikipedia: A cooked-down broth made from specified or unspecified parts of animals (depending on the type of digest used). If the source is unspecified (e.g. “Animal” or “Poultry”, the animals used can be obtained from any source, so there is no control over quality or contamination. Any kind of animal can be included: “4-D animals” (dead, diseased, disabled, or dying prior to slaughter), goats, pigs, horses, restaurant and
    supermarket refuse and so on.
I work in the petfood industry and would never consider any grocery brands after learning exactly what these brands are using for ingredients.
Read the ingredients & if you dont know what it is, look it up. Please make educated decisions concerning your pets’s nutrition.

    • Danielle says:

Michelle so true, but a lot of the other “good” brands, Pedigree,Science Diet, have the same kinds of ingredients. In addition to the corn gluten, grains, “by products” and sorghum can cause problems such sa ear infections, excessive scratching, chewing on their paws, really smelly doggy odor. Pedigree does not even list what type of meat it contains, Science diet lists chicken first and the next 4 ingredients are grains. Currently I am using Canidae, $27.99 for 15 lbs and $43.99 for 35 lbs. a little on the high side but inexpensive compared to some of the other brands out there, however it is high quality food and it shows.

  62. Anna says:

  71. Traci says:

HELP! As many of you also do, I spend HOURS each week hunting, matching ads, clipping, reading blogs, etc to save money on groceries. When folks behind me in line comment, “Wow, you got all that almost FREE!!??” I always tell them, LOTS of time. Heck, with the HOURS spent on this, I often wonder if I would be better getting a good job and just paying retail. BUT, as a mom of seven…I cant. So I stay home and we clip as a family. I am VERY CAREFUL with coupons…watching exp dates, sizes, rules, etc. I know what I am doing. I study policies, etc. This is why when I am scrutinized.,..it hurts. I stopped couponing a few years ago, because I just couldnt stand the way that I was made to feel by cashiers and managers for couponing. Im back in the saddle…lemme tell ya what happened today and yesterday.

Publix registers will “accept” on average one coupon per item scanned, and when there are more, as you know, the manager has to be called to override. This ALWAYS happens to me, because I almost always use manufact AND store coupons together (as policy states), so I always have more coupons then items. Usually, no problem. The code is put in, and the rest of the coupons scan…no prob. Today and yesterday I had one transaction each day, of about $35 each before coupons. I get all of the way to the end, with about six coupons left. Front end supervisor is called, code put in. Two more coupons come off…and that is IT! I am left with about 3-4 coupons …they tell me, “Sorry…you have used too many. We cant take these.” I start pulling bagged items out, to show that I did purchase them, and I am confused at why they will not be accepted. “Sorry…no more.” One transaction left me with about $7 in coupons in hand. The other transactions…$4.50 in hand. I BOUGHT THE MERCHANDIDE!!! It was scanned…the register refused the coupons, AFTER the code. To me, this is almost $12 that I lost. I feel sick. I couldnt take any items off (void) , because I used a $5/$30, so it would have thrown the entire transaction. I have NEVER been refused coupons, and I know that I did everything correct. The more I politely insisted that I bought the items and showed them to the manager, the more I was treated like a crook. What is going on with teh registers at Publix this week!!???
