Peet’s Baridi Iced Coffee Blend – Review & Giveaway

How many coffee lovers are out there? Yeah – I am pretty sure that the majority of you guys raised your hand 
As you guys probably know, my husband is the biggest coffee fan ever. He can not start his day without coffee. Seriously, the temperature here in metro Atlanta has been in the triple digits the past few days and he will sit out on the deck sipping a cup of hot coffee–YUK!
Now me, I am not a coffee fan…or at least not a hot coffee fan. I prefer iced coffee or frappuccinos and the like.
The folks at Peet’s Coffee were kind enough to send me a bag of their Baridi Iced Coffee Blend last week. So this morning, I decided to brew up a pot of iced coffee. Oh man it is so good. It’s already like 80 degrees here and I am enjoying a big old cup of delicious iced coffee while finding a few deals.
What I love about the Peet’s Baridi Iced Coffee Blend is that it tastes clean and refreshing over ice. I have tried to ice some of my husband’s other coffees over ice and they taste bitter. Who wants to drink something that leaves a weird bitter aftertaste. That’s not the case with the Peet’s Coffee.
Their experts headed straight for East Africa, where high elevations and volcanic soils produce beans known for their sublime aromas and bright, clean finish. The beans were carefully selected and roasted to produce a coffee that’s good over ice.
I think I might have converted my husband. At first he grumped a bit – but I told him he had to at least give it a try. He has already filled his big travel cup twice this morning. As he was making his second cup, I asked what he thought about the coffee. He said, “It’s actually pretty good”. Now…let me translate for you guys who may not speak Jim. What he was really saying it that “It’s obvious that I really like this coffee since I have not poured yours out to make my own pot of coffee.” – tee hee!

I would make myself a giant and I mean giant glass of iced coffee as the sun was going down and it was cooling off a bit and sit on my porch finish watching the sun go down and watch as darkness settled in, sipping constantly on my delicious iced coffee.

I have been making my own iced coffee (cold brewing 8+ hours and then straining) – it is really yummy, but this sounds WAY easier!

I would love to have a bag of Peet’s coffee to try. I would brew up a pot and make it double strength, add Coffee Mate liquid Hazel nut coffee creamer, 1/2 cup of milk (or fat free half & half); a dash of vanilla and some Truvia. I’d let it sit till it was cool, put some of it into an ice cube tray and make ice cubes then put the rest in the refrigerator to get it ice cold. Then, when I was ready for some iced coffee, I would throw some of the coffee ice cubes in my blender and add some of the cold coffee mixture to it. Pour in a glass, yummy…. : )

I chill strong coffee, add it to a tall glass of ice, add 4 shakes of cinnamon and top with FF milk. It’s the highlight of my afternoon.

Therefore, like your hubby…but, come the evening for a relaxing after dinner beverage we do enjoy a nice cold iced coffee…sometimes with a little Kahlua or Baileys added too.

We LOVE Peets coffee. The greatest culinary tragedy from our CO to Fl move was no more Peet’s coffee. Oh, South, how much you are missing! SO, I really hope I will win this one! Cold drinks on humid days makes life so much easier! Watch out for your husband, though – most iced coffees have about twice the caffeine. At least Starbuck’s does!

Yum- over ice… The perfect way to start the day!!
It reached 112 degrees here in middle Tennessee, so I would drink it iced with whipped cream and a little sprinkle of cinnamon while I sit nekkid (because that’s how we sit in Tennessee) on a huge block of ice!
I had bought some of peets iced online because i could not find it at the store. It is really good. I have quiet going to Dunkin Donuts. It is really refreshing with your favorite cream. I drink iced coffee every morning.

I am a teacher and am off for the summer but still get up at 6:30 everyday to get my son and husband breakfast, coffee and off to work. My son leaves for college in the fall so I am squeezing in every moment I can with him. Since I am already up, I take advantage of the quiet time to enjoy ice coffee on the porch. I have yet to find the perfect “coffee” os I would like to try Peet’s Baridi to see if it is the one!
I would put it in the blender with ice and mint cremora and make a frappe.

I drink coffee at least 3 to 4 cups a day. I don’t think I can start my day without it.
Mid-day, if I’m in the mood, I would make Vietnamese ice coffee. I make mine by the pitcher (64 oz). This way, I have some left over for the next couple of days.
And, I finish the evening off with a cup splashed with flavored coffee creamer. Yummmm……

With the heat iced coffee is delicious. Just add a little flavored syrup with Peets coffee in the blender (and of cource Ice and lite milk) and blend it up. Here in Florida it is really refreshing

I’ve become a huge fan of cold brewing coffee – leaving 2 Tbsp per 4 oz of water in a sealed jar in the fridge over night and straining and enjoying the next day. I have a feeling using coffee roasted specifically for iced coffee will result in a very potent and delicious drink! Would love to try it!
Although it is hot outside, I still like to drink coffee on the porch and listen to all the early morning birds. It is like a sanctuary, so what better way then to have my coffee iced and slip away for a bit.
