Energizer Utility Reward Program – Cheap Batteries At Publix!
June 29, 2012
I posted the Energizer Utility Reward Program information a while back. Melanie emailed with a great deal so I thought it would be useful to share again…especially since you can score a great deal with the current Publix coupon!
Here is Melanie’s deal idea:
(10) Energizer Max Batteries 8 pack, $5.91
(10)$1/1 Energizer peelie located on each package
(10) $1.50/1 Energizer Max AA/AAA 8 pk, C/D 4 pk, or 9V 2 pk Publix Coupon Green Advantage Flyer
$5 off $30 Publix coupon/competitor coupon
Total cost: $59.10 – $10 peelies – $15 Publix flyer – $5 off $30 Publix coupon= $29.10
Melanie reminds you that you need to make sure that you only buy the packages with the EARN $25 OFF YOUR UTILITY BILL sticker on it. Once you buy 10 packs you go online to Energizer Utility Reward Program and put in your utility info. They will send $25 to your utility company within 1-3 billing cycles (2 per transactions per family).
With Melanie’s deal – you get 80 batteries for a total of $4.10 after coupons and credit! We all have utilities to pay…might as well score super cheap batteries!
UPDATE: John reminds us that there is also a $1.50/1 Energizer MAX batteries (AA/AAA-8. C/D-4, 9V-2) manufacturer’s coupon in the new Smart Savings Booklet.

You can also use the $1.50/1 Man Q that is in the Publix Smartsavings booklet for an even better deal!
1.50 mq in Smart booklet
And if you’re at $59.10 before coupons, it only makes sense to buy something for $0.90 and use a second $5/$30 (spend $0.90 to save $5.00).
Do that and you’ll actually be in the negative (including rebates and the like).
Thanks for the tip – time to stock up on FREE batteries…
At our Publix (4 of them) they follow the rules of the coupons which reads “one per transaction”. Also for the Target internet printable coupons, which makes a lot of the deals not as great as they appear, when assuming that a person can use 2.
Then just split it into two transactions…since it’s 10 should be an easy split and a tiny buffer to push them both above the $30 mark.
that’s what we do here,
Just trying to get everyone on the same page that all Publix’s will be enforcing these policies soon
How do you know that all publix will be enforcing the “one per transaction” on the 5/30 coupons in the future? (I understand that on the internet, a question can come off as rude, just to clarify, I am asking sincerely about the source of your information) The reason I ask is because my publix allows me to use as many as possible in one transaction. I have asked repeatedly to make sure they continue to allow it and the manager has told me,several times, that it would only hold up the cashiers and the lines to have me split my purchase into multiple transactions because he knows that I would have to split up other coupon deals and they have found it takes much more time with no benefit to the store. Thanks.
In my experience, all the stores are different on how they view these coupons. One will, one won’t, one will one day and won’t the next. It would be good to have a set policy whatever it is, so we can plan our shopping accordingly.

And you could add a candy bar, or something worth less than $1, and use 2 $5/$30 coupons.
Just do 2 transactions. 5 x $5.91 = $29.55 add a banana or something to make it $30, use (1) $5/$30 coupon. Do this twice.
I would love this deal. I could use some batteries and so could my mom. Look forward to slitting the price with her since its a great deal even if you dont the 25 credit. Problem is how in the world would anyone get 10 green ads since most stores only allow 1 per visit. I would have to go to store 3 times in one week just to get green ad before it expires. Not being mean just realistic If you can do it go guys and gals
at my store the ads are in the turnstile as you walk in the door. I just grab as many as I need. They have NEVER run out.
I just went to publix and the batteries were $7.49. Where did the cheaper price come from or is this just my local publix being fail on prices again.
My store in Central Florida has them for $7.29, not the $5.91 listed above. I still thought it was a decent enough deal since I am out of batteries and had to pay (ugh) full price last week for some to send my son to camp with a working flashlight. All the stores in our area have the green flyers in the turnstyle by the door where the keep the weekly ads and you are free to take as many as you wish. Either way, your store should be able to accept just one of the Publix coupons and use the lookup number listed on it to apply the coupon as many times as required.
Also, the fine print on the paper inside the batteries says you can do two “utility credits/rebates” per household up to a max of $25 each. Go to nowthatspositiveenergy.com/utilities for all the info.
Yah the other problem is none of them had the codes. Sigh
I can’t find the packages with the codes
I went to two different stores today.
Wbere do I get 5/30 publix Q? Anybody please.
Just FYI…I found $2 peelies on the Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries…You can also use these on the Energizer MAX batteries as well! I am going to hold onto these plus the $1.50 Summer Savings coupons hoping for a better deal on batteries. (My Publix currently has the Energizer batteries for $7.59…yuck!)
Hopefully they will go on sale so I can save $3.50 off per pack!
Does anyone know if this could go along with the storm prepardness tax free holiday the first week in August in Alabama? I’m not sure of the exp. on the coupons but sales tax free would also be a plus!!
