Happy early Mother’s Day. If I had my way we would start celebrating Mother’s Day on the Friday before and have a whole weekend of celebrations. Anyone care to join me?
In a way, my Mother’s Day did start a little early. Both of my boys came home with presents that they made in school. My oldest is in kindergarten and surprised me with a butterfly made from his handprints as well as a potted flower. My little one is in preschool and he was so excited about his present that he has decided he needs to hang on to it for a while. He brought home a ceramic tile with his handprint and some very nice words. The handprint is big and green and he has decided that it is not his hand but actually a Hulk handprint. He has been carrying it around this afternoon and I hear an occasional “HULK SMASH” followed by a crash. I am hoping it stays in one piece until bedtime so I can tuck it away in my memory box.
It has been a great week over all and I am very excited to get to sleep in on Sunday. As for my shopping adventures, it was a good week there too! Check out my Publix weekly totals:

So this week I spent about $25 thanks to $20 of savings with those Lowe’s coupons. I basically swapped $100 cash for $100 worth of Lowe’s cards and used that $20 to discount my groceries! I was very pleased with what I brought home this week. With my produce box and all those great veggies, I am sitting pretty. Seriously…my freezer is full of proteins, my fridge is stuffed and both of my pantries are overflowing!! The best part is that I got them that way without breaking the bank!

Happy Mothers Day!
Wishing everyone a Happy Mothers’ Day weekend!
My oldest is 3 and when I picked him up from preschool he gave me a potted plant and a framed handprint. Then all the way home, he tried to tell me that they were his presents and not for me. I lovingly tried to tell him that they were for mommy for mothers day, he said ‘ mommy you have to share’. Which of course we’ve been having daily ‘discussions’ about, b/c his 2 yr old brother is currently learning how to share. It was very cute.
