Thanks for the head’s up. I was able to print 2 coupons so I intend to add these beans to my Hurricane Kit. It’s good to have these things on hand for an emergency. They are great tasting beans too!

Hey, I got a few, and decided to go in search of to make sure my publix had these particular beans. I found them and gave my husband a coupon to get one and a few other items. He went to checkout (I should have stayed with him – he is new to couponing). The cashier told him he couldn’t use the coupon because the beans were less then the coupon and the wrong size. When he caught up with me, he told me what happened. I knew that wasn’t right because I had read the coupon and it specifically states it is good for 1 can of the sweet mesquite grillin’ beans. We went up to the service desk and explained what happened. They refunded us the coupon amount. The cashier then came over and said (very loudly – almost yelling) she wouldn’t take it because the item was less than the coupon price and it should only be used on the larger cans (but they don’t have sweet mesquite in the larger cans and it would have been the same price anyway since they are on sale too). She looked at us like we were criminals. The service desk manager told the cashier she should have taken it because the coupon was for the right item. Maybe I should post this on facebook. I just wish cashiers understood that most of us coupon ppl are honest and not to persecute us

I would definitely write Publix on their FB page about your experience. It is out of their norm for the cashiers to act that way. Totally unacceptable!
