Last night, I told my little one that we would be going to play after school on Friday. He is in preschool so he is only there from 12 – 2:30. Well, he was so excited about going to play at his favorite place that he got up early, got himself dressed, grabbed his backpack and proceeded to go sit in the car around 8ish this morning. He was ready to get school knocked out so that he could go play. That boy is a nut!

Ok…on to the Publix shopping totals. I went a bit crazy this week. I just could not pass up that gas card deal so I made two trips this week (in addition to my shopping last week). I also went yesterday to grab the penny item. With the amount of peanut butter we go through at this house I just couldn’t pass it up!

I decided to stock up on a few stock up deals and grab a bunch of produce. We had completely killed all the fruits and veggies from my produce box by last weekend. I had to grab fair amount as there was no way we would have made it to Thursday when the new box arrived (plus everything just looked so good). I will never feel bad about putting money towards veggies as long as my guys will eat them icon smile Publix Shopping Totals 4/20 Share Your Savings!

On my way out the door yesterday, my husband requested pork stir fry for dinner. I was happy to change our menu but I was hungry when I was shopping so I grabbed a ton of goodies. Boy let me tell you – that might have been the best stir fry I have ever made…totally worth the few extra bucks I spent in veg! I opted for a huge pork loin that was less per pound than the smaller cuts. I cut it into three servings so I will be able to make the recipe again soon!

My husband got more of his coffee and I have breakfast options for weeks to come icon smile Publix Shopping Totals 4/20 Share Your Savings!

This week I spent $167 and saved $300. Stocked up on Clorox and Lysol products, and took advantage of the organic produce coupons. I hate to buy non-organic meat but I couldn’t pass up the urge to stock up on chicken breast with the 2.99/lb. On another note, I hope Publix counters these new Walmart commercials with what a shopper saves with their sales and coupons at Publix! This week I needed cereal for a local food pantry and just for kicks I checked walmart first. What a joke! I went to Publix and got 100 boxes of kelloggs cereal for about 1.78 a box.

  2. Those are some pretty good prices on produce. It seems like the Publix produce prices here in South Florida are a lot higher! I rarely buy produce at Publix unless there’s a BOGO sale or I have a coupon for produce.

By the way, I have your linkup on my linkup list here: http://www.frugalfollies.com/p/linkup-parties.html

    Thanks for everything you do!

    • I noticed that too! A few things are much higher down here with our produce at Publix. I wish I had an Aldi close by I am starting to get jealous of your produce prices ;)

I am doing a happy dance as there is a new Aldi opening just down the street from me! Was at the other Aldi, a bit farther away and got some tomatoes on the vine for .59 cents today. I love their produce prices!!

I didn’t need much this past sale, but I was able to pick up 2 of the Bird’s Eye Voila meals BOGO with coupons and paid $1.99 for both.

What a smart boy! You are going to have so many good stories to tell when he’s older.

This was my best week ever at Publix and most exciting, especially because of the Starbucks! I did 3 transactions to maximize my savings. On the first transaction I got 4 starbucks coffees and 1 nathans hotdog. Used Winn Dixie $5 off $30 and $17 in coupons and paid 8.61 + tax.
Second transaction was the same thing except I had $15 in coupons so the total was $10.61 + tax.
Third transaction I got wheat bread, 2 cascadian farm cereals, 4 healthy choice cafe steamers, 2 packages of cheese, 13 small carefree pads (did not clear shelf),and a pineapple. Used $5 off 30 and $44 in coupons and they ended up paying me $7.03!!!!! The cashier made a mistake with the $7 and I went back to see if they wanted me to give them the money back. Manager said it was their mistake so I could have it!
So I actually only paid $12.19 for all that stuff! I love Publix!!

well i cant ever do as good as all yall. But my total was something like $189 before all my coupons and i had $5 off 55 WD and three $5 off $30 publix qs. I had $62.54 in foodstamps left and only had to pay cash of $39.00 after all the qs. The receipt said i saved $104, i do think that is the best one yet for me.
