Lots of folks emails me about how to save money and one of my biggest suggestions is meal planning. A few people have emailed me about Food on the Table. I recently had a few moments to check it out and I think it might come in handy for some of you guys. I like it just for the recipe ideas…you guys know I am always on the hunt for new recipes. It is kind of neat to be able to select your food and any restrictions (low fat, gluten free, etc..) then out pops a ton of recipe ideas. They even match up the recipes to grocery store sales…including Publix.
Here is the scoop…
Food on the Table is an easy meal planning service that is based on sales at local grocery stores. With Food on the Table, users will be able to: find thousands of easy, healthy recipes, save money by knowing the items that are on sale, simplify your shopping experience with a well organized grocery list. Sign up for a Free Account which allows you to plan 3 meals per week. For more than 3 meals a week and more recipes, the member can upgrade to the premium version for a low introductory rate of $5/month.
Right now they are running a special offer. Use the promo code: SPRINGFREE, throughout the month of April, and get the service for FREE for life!
I think it might take me some time to make it work for me since I am a major creature of habit. BUT…I think it will come in handy – especially those weeks when I need some recipe ideas! If any of you guys are using the service and want to give us a review, please share it in the comments.

Hey Michelle,
is this for a full membership? I think I signed up already (new computer can’t get to my old bookmarks yet, sigh) thank you for all you do to help.
Hope your boy’s are all doing well…
I have not used this website, however 3 weeks ago I bought a subscription to emeals for Publix for meal plans for Publix weekly sale ad. I paid $21.00 for 3 months! I love it! The ease of just not having to think about what is for dinner and I get to use coupons on the items I am buying thanks to your site! I am even more thrilled to try this website out since it is for free, and a lifetime membership! Thanks for all the cool stuff your site offers!
I love e-meals! It is perfect for me and my 15 year old daughter. I don’t mind cooking when someone tells me exactly what to cook. They take the guess work out of coming up with new meal ideas! I look forward to Wednesday mornings to see what’s in my inbox!
There is a free iphone app for this. During setup I selected Publix at my market. It pulls together dishes based on this weeks sale items and provides the recipes. I select the recipes and it populates the grocery list for me. It’s pretty cool for a free app.
