Sorry guys the mac & cheese is next week’s penny item (you just got a super sneak peek–tee hee).
The Publix Penny item for 3/28 and 3/29 is Publix Bleach.
The mystery item coupon is valid for one day only –the day your ad begins (either Wednesday or Thursday). The actual coupon can be found in the newspaper on your penny item day! Florida does not participate in the penny item promotion. Leave a comment below if your store offers a different item!

It was a bottle of Publix bleach at my store in B’ham, AL.
The penny item at my store was Publix brand bleach….
Awesome – I am needing some – it seems like a long time since this was the penny item.
Can you use multiple coupons with your $10 purchase, or do you have to spend $10 for every 1¢ coupon redeemed?
In my experience, you can use one penny coupon per transaction, whether that transaction is $10 or $200. If you have and want to use multiple penny coupons, you might want to consider doing multiple transactions.
I’ve even gone as far as doing one transaction, put it in my car, and come back it to do another transaction to redeem another coupon. They would allow me one time to separate my orders, so I’ve had to resort to other methods if the sales & mystery item makes it worth it.
My store never has the penny item evryone else does we had syrup for two weeks and t hen this week it was bleach the cashoer said.when.that ran out it would be guess……right syrup. I live the penny item but please publix in downtown tuscaloosa change it up
The publix store near Campus in TTown is not at all like the other two stores in town (69 South and Northport) I have shopped at all three reguraly…you will NOT find a better selection OR more helpful folks than the 69 south store!! I am not sure if you can drive a bit out of your way…but even the Northport store is better stocked than the one you shop at. I think it is geared for (and ran by) college students rather than furgal couponing folks the 69 South store gets

I checked your penny item this morning(3/28) on the internet for Alabama and it said Publix Macaroni and Cheese. I go to the store tonight and they say it is bleach. This is not a “Tee Hee” excuse or teaser and is not acceptable to serious shoppers. It relates to “Truth in Advertising” and you missed the boat today. Again !!
Well John if it bothers you so much…just go to the store and be surprised so your day will not be utterly ruined by not getting a box of mac and cheese for a penny!!
I am not “advertising” just offering info that on occasion will be wrong–after all I am human.
Here is a thought…maybe pick up the phone and call your store to confirm the penny item since what you get for a penny affects you so deeply. I will go ahead and forewarn you…I may be wrong again.
It IS indeed a grave and serious error, John — what if you ingested the bleach, expecting it to be mac and cheese?!!
The penny Item was bleach in Conyers yesterday and it was a pleasant surpise. Michelle does the best she can with the info given. An rarely is she wrong. Michelle- Thanks for all you do.
