Graeter’s Ice Cream – Review & Giveaway

There are a few perks to sitting behind this keyboard day after day. The latest perk made everyone in my house very happy!! The folks at Graeter’s Ice Cream contacted me to let me know that their ice creams are now at Publix and sent me some to try out!
While my boys would eat ice cream for breakfast, I have to admit that I am not a huge ice cream fan. I mean – I like it – but given my choice, I would typically go for some chocolate over a bowl of ice cream. That was until I tried out Graeter’s Ice Cream…holy moly guys - it is phenomenal!!
Most ice creams that I have eaten are almost crunchy…like eating little frozen milk ice crystals or something? Well, Graeter’s Ice Cream is like silk–seriously the creamiest and smoothest ice cream I have ever put in my mouth!! It seems they use a French Pot Method and that is what makes Graeter’s so creamy. They are so serious about making the best ice cream that they actually make each batch 2 gallons at a time and hand pack each pint! Now that is major attention to detail! Boy oh boy, it shows in the final product! You can see the detail on their method on their website.
I am now officially an ice cream lover! When you shop at Publix this week, you might want to throw a pint of the Graeter’s Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip in your cart. I would have probably never chosen that flavor while standing in the frozen aisle but let me just tell you – it is fantastic. That pint was gone in two days and I am already craving another big bowl! I did not get to try out the Butter Pecan so I think I will have to pick up a pint of that AND the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip when I shop. I will just have to make sure I am sharing so I don’t end up finishing off a pint all by myself 
(Yes…it REALLY is that good!!)

This is awesome news. I grew up in the Cincinnati area, where Graeter’s is based, and it’s one of the things I miss most about “back home.” If I were to win the giveaway, I’d definitely open a can of Skyline Chili for dinner and dish out some Graeter’s for dessert. All Graeter’s Ice Cream is delicious, but I would have to go with the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip.

I would like all the flavors but anything with peanut butter would be my 1st choice! I live in Florida and know someone from the Cincinnati area who told me about Graeter’s. He told me they were coming to Florida and that it is out of this world. I never tried it because it seemed so expensive compared to the other brands. Now that I have heard your description and still remember what he told me…we will for sure try it

Graeters is the ONLY thing we will pay full price for. Favorites are Raspberry Chocolate Chip and Chocolate chocolate chip. They should really be called chocolate chunk as they have whole chocolate bars in them!

My boyfriend is from Cincinnati and introduced me to Graeters ice cream a few years ago. It is amazing, and I’m so happy to see that Publix carries it now! It’s nice to bring him a “taste from home.” My favorite is the Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip as well.

I worked in Cincinnati for a few years and that’s when I was introduced and fell in love with Graeter’s Ice Cream!!!! My customer would send me a care package for Christmas which included 2 pints and Montgomery Ribs – YUM. I really miss those care packages. I sure hope our Publix in FL starts to carry it!!!!

I’m finding it difficult to pick a flavor… I know DH would probably be all about the peanut butter chocolate chip and I’m quite intrigued by your blackberry chocolate chip recommendation but then coconut chocolate chip sounds awesome too… Hopefully Publix will have them on sale in the near future so I get a chance to try them since I know whenever I found them at Kroger they were quite pricey.
