Free Year Subscription To Coupons.com Savings Club

I have had a bunch of folks ask me if signing up for the Coupons.com Savings Club is worth the money. Well, looks like we don’t have to worry about it since they are offering a FREE year membership to the Savings Club! I’d say it is definitely worth it if it’s FREE!

The Coupons.com Savings Club offers coupons that are only available to Savings Club members. There aren’t a ton…but again if they want to give them to me for FREE –I’ll take them!

Here are a couple of the ones available right now just for Savings Club members:

$1.50/1 FRESCHETTA® Pizza
$1/1 Hellmann’s® Real products (22oz. or greater) (Excludes Trial Size)
$1/1 Kellogg’s® Special K® Cracker Chips$
$1/1 FRENCH’S® Dijon Mustard
$0.30/1 Frank’s® RedHot® Sauce
$0.50/1 CAREFREE® product
BOGO Green Works® All Purpose Cleaner Get any 1 Green Works product free

There are a limited number of memberships, so if you want to jump on board you might want to do it quickly. Be sure and read the promotion rules as you will convert to a monthly subscription ($3/month) at the end of the free year unless you cancel your subscription prior to the free trial expiration.

Do you know if, once the $3 per month starts at the end of the free trial, you can cancel any time or are you locked into a certain time (like a year or something)? Thanks for any info.

  2. couponj says:

I was wondering the same as Laurie because you have to provide your credit card number to get the free year.

    • Michelle says:

“Your subscription will automatically convert to a monthly subscription ($3/month) upon expiration of the free trial, and unless you cancel your subscription prior to the free trial expiration, at the time of renewal you authorize Coupons (or its Processing Agent) to charge your credit card the then-current fees to renew your subscription.”

You can see all the details here: http://www.couponsinc.com/corporate/SavingsClubFacebookOfferTermsandConditions.aspx

You need to make a note to cancel before the year trial ends…I set a reminder on my calendar for 2/20–just so it would be before the full year ;-)

  3. tiffany says:

what I understood is that you get one year free and then if you don’t cancel they will charge you a 3 a month fee after that 12 months

  4. Emmie says:

Thanks I was leery of this, but will just have to cancel it. No way paying $3 a month for things not worth my fancy!

  5. Nicole says:

Cool. Guess I won’t have to worry about the renewal. I used my Debit card which expires before the end of this year. lol

    • M says:

Nicole, You might want to check with your bank. Usually you just get a new debit card with a new expiration date and keep the same numbers on the card.

    • EllenO says:

Nicole – it generally is NOT a great idea to use your debit card to pay for online purchases. If there is a security problem (e.g., phishing) and your credit card number gets used fraudulently, you’re covered for most losses. But if your debit card number gets stolen and used, you are basically out of luck – the thief can totally clean out your account and the bank probably won’t cover it!

  6. Holly says:

If you have access to your credit card online, most companies will allow you to create a virtual card number which expires soon (mine expires 3/12) or where you can input a certain limit. This way, if you forget to cancel your subscription, you still can’t be charged.

  7. Samantha says:

I did this early this morning and I received an email a few hours later stating my order was not accepted and that my credit card was not chraged. Wonder why?

  8. Erenee says:

I don’t like it when companies offer things for free, but want your credit card info up front, let me try it first before you ask for that personal info

  9. Ruth says:

I agree about the credit card issues. I was happily filling out the info until they asked for my credit card then i deleted the whole thing.I don’t like credit card info out there unless I’m monitoring it. Poor strategy on their part. Count me out.

  10. tampatwinmom says:

the hellmans’ q says $1/1 when you see it then when I printed it was $1/2

  11. M says:

No way am I giving a cc for a coupon site…. very lame on their part.

  12. dk says:

I won’t give my credit card number to someone giving me something for ‘free’. It is what it is, and it is crummy to me.

  13. dk says:

Hmmm… canceled without giving credit card info, they sent me Welcome email and a password anyway.
