What’s For Dinner 1/17

January 17, 2012

Whats For Dinner 1/17What do you guy think of the upcoming Publix ad? I think it is pretty good with several things that I can definitely use.

I am still trying to shake things up a bit here at my house for dinner. I found a recipe for Sausage and Cabbage Stew and I am going to try to modify it and use turkey sausage. I am hoping that it tastes good and that my guys will eat it. I am the only one who really loves cabbage here at my house.  I am hoping I don’t end up having to whip up some PB&J sandwiches in lieu of dinner–tee hee!

The Spaghetti Squash Casserole is new to me too. We all enjoy spaghetti squash so I am thinking that it should be a safe recipe. Trying new recipes can be scary but it is the only way to find a new favorite!

My family was not crazy about cabbage until I started making the Fried Caggage recipe from Southern Plate. It does not matter how much of that I make there are never any leftovers.

That Spaghetti Squash recipe looks wonderful. Thanks for sharing it.

I’m pretty much stuck to making Chinese food this week so I can justify to my wife buying those Sunbird Seasoning packets and Kikkoman sauces that were on clearance! Made a stir-fry last night with the Chow Mein one w/ tofu, snow peas, carrots and mushroom that was pretty good.

Now I just have to use that Stir-Fry packet with the brussel sprouts from this week’s veggie purchase. Hopefully that doesn’t turn out too bad!

We are making spaghetti squash too! Also going to make Cooking Light’s loaded baked potaoto soup with the BOGO potatoes this week.
