Send in Your Questions!
October 28, 2011
Our Ask I Heart Publix stockpile is still a little low on questions, and we need you to help us fill it up again! If you have a question, please send it in. Your questions can be about anything – basic couponing information, how to use the site, finding coupons, other ways to save, whatever you’re curious about! We happily welcome questions from new couponers or old hands alike – and if there’s a question you know the answer to but we haven’t talked about here, send that in too! We want to try to cover just about any question that a couponer could have about anything related to Publix or couponing, and we just know there’s a lot more out there to discuss! Email your questions to contactiheartpublix @ gmail.com.
Also, if you’d like to be featured on the Reader Spotlight, you can also email the idea for your post (or your completed post!) to contactiheartpublix at gmail dot com.

I recently got a copy of Publix Family magazine in the mail(I also get Grape). Am I correct that only the copies that you get in the mail have the coupons in them? When I have gotten extra copies in the stores they don’t seem to have coupons.
Greetings,
I was wondering if there was a way to get more a grip on this couponing business. I am unemployed and have been for the past year. I am trying to save where I can to support my family of 3 and help out my mom that is retired. My husband’s line of work is seasonal so we are now in the time of BIG BIG savings to get us thourgh the winter. I live in West Palm Beach, FL (where coupons don’t double) and for some reason can only score upto 57% savings on ANY shopping trip that I make. I have been couponing for about 6mos and have listened and followed all directions that people have said and what I have read to start out. I have steaked out my stores (in which I only started with 2), I have seen cycles of sales on certain items, I am NOW collecting more than 2 papers on sunday to clip coupons. Don’t get me wrong I am NOT like those people on the EXTREME couponing show but would like to be able to get a better saving that what I’m getting right now. I wanted to commence a stockpile to get us through the winter, but seem to only be able to get a few deals. If someone can guide me on how to coupon in South Florida that would be great! I am creating a binder, getting the papers, looking online, I even have a spread sheet to keep track of what I spend and am I REALLY saving, but just need a little more help to see if I’m missing something. Thanks!
My question is about rookie mistakes: is there any way to correct some of the things you did ignorantly when beginning couponing (like photocopying printables, using the wrong Q, etc). Or is it good enough to do couponing with integrity now? I’ve been working on a spreadsheet to show my savings since the beginning of this year and don’t even want to include those early receipts with lots of mistakes!
I have so much Candy left over from Halloween. I am very proud of myself because through couponing I didnt spend a lot. But I didnt have a lot of trick or treaters this year like I’ve had in prior years so I have a ton of candy left over. What can I do with the excess candy? I have a 10 year old and a 4 year old. I have now moved it out of reach for them but the husbands been eyeing it. Are there recipies that I can put them in? Does anyone have an idea.PLEASE HELP! DENTIST APPOINTMENT NEXT WEEK!
I have seen other sites, ahem, list Target brand coupons as coupons to use on Publix brand items. I’ve never tried this. Is it possible? My store takes Target as a competitor. For example, there is an up & up coupon for plates and bowls on Target.com, and publix plates and bowls are on sale.
Hey Leslie
I don’t think there are many that do this anymore but I am sure there are a few that might take them…best to ask your store!
Can you please tell me the last time Publix had the All deteregent BOGO?
