The Channellock Tool Roll No. 2 Gift Set includes:

  • 420 Tongue and Groove Plier
  • 909 Cutting and Crimping Tool
  • 447 Diagonal Cutter
  • 317 Long Nose Plier
  • 426 Tongue and Groove Plier

Each tool is made from high-carbon C1080 steel for durability, with laser-heat treated edges and Channellock Blue grips for comfort,

My husband is a tool guy –big time!!  We just finished building a detached garage just to house all of his tools since there was no longer any room in the basement!!  My husband is a very reserved guy, I often show him the packages I get and he comments “that is nice” or something to that effect. BUT…when I opened the Channellock tools you should have seen him.  He was very excited and looked like a kid on Christmas.  His comment was –”Oh wow, those are very nice tools!”

This weekend we cleaned out our main garage and moved everything over to the new garage.  Jim got new cabinets to store all of his tools and of course we had to put them together.  He was so cute running to get his new pliers to help him with the cabinets.  I think it is safe to say he was pleased with the Channellock tools!

    I would have to say that mine would be the needle nose plyers b/c my husband is always losing his or breaking them. Each year we get him tools for fathers day for this simple reason, and he always needs them because he is always working on something.

    I would like to give one of the gift sets as a gift to a young man that is just starting out on his own. I think that the Tool Roll Kits 1 & 2 would both be good choices, however, so would the CBR-8A Gift Set. I like them because they have a variety of the most used tools.

    As for which tool I’d like, I’m torn between the needle nose pliers (because I can never find mine when I need them) and the cutting tool. I don’t have a metal cutter and I think that would be fabulous!

    After viewing the Channel Lock website I think my husband would love and use any of ChannelLocks tools but the one I think he would use the most would be the Code Blue Wrench. He works around machinery all day and has worn out so many tools. Thanks for this giveaway, Michelle!

    I agree, I like the 350s Lineman’s Pliers, too. We need another pair of those in the house. I like to have 2 of any tool item and we only have one pair of lineman’s pliers. Since the hubby uses his tools for his hobbies and for work around the house, he is always misplacing stuff. I don’t know how many times in the last year he has needed his lineman’s pliers and couldn’t find them. We’ve had to drop everything to go look for them, because there really isn’t a substitute for that particular tool item. I have found that it is best to have an upstairs toolbox and a basement toolbox with like tools in both of them. Thanks!

    I checked out the tools, and the one that really caught my eye was the 87 Rescue Tool. I’d like one for my father, since he loves gadgets and tools. Ultimately though, also I’d like one for myself because it’s so versatile – a strong cutter, prying tool, and grip for opening/tightening valves all in one nifty little tool. Love it!
