Publix Weekly Ad 4/14 to 4/23 (4/13 to 4/23 for some)

April 11, 2011

Here is the Publix weekly ad that begins 4/14 (4/13 for some).  As you can see this is a HUGE ad as it will last a little longer than normal due to the Easter Holiday closing.

This ad is huge with tons of deals…check out all those BOGOs!!

This is the metro Atlanta version of the ad.  Be sure and check your ad to for any variations! Also a heads up that I added a few items thanks to an I Heart Publix forum friend who was kind enough to send a scan of her Florida ad!

When you see the checkmark stockpile button13 Publix Weekly Ad 4/14 to 4/23 (4/13 to 4/23 for some) – those items are either a great stockpile price or a stockpile price with coupon(s). Some items are designated stock up price based on a coupon doubling, so if your store doesn’t double it may not be a stock up price for you.

Still no spreadsheet this week – I’ll bring it back just as soon as it’s fixed…sorry guys!

  1. April says:

Looks like a pretty good week!!!

  2. katie says:

Awesome week, but OMG is coffee ever going BOGO again?!!! I’ve gotten so spoiled by Publix!

  3. elizabeth says:

Zip code for the Duncan Hines? Thanks!

  4. Debbie says:

Link for Bryers Blast Ice Cream says there are no prints available for this campaign.

    • couponj says:

I used my coupons at Target on Friday and got the ice cream for $2.19 each… Figures it would go BOGO the next Publix ad and be $1.50 each.

      • Melissa says:

It’s about the same I think 6.00-1.50=4.50/2 is 2.25 each so Target was a little bit cheaper.

      • Ubiquitous says:

I had a hunch that Breyers ice cream would be going on sale in the near future after I saw the Target coupons. I am ready to stock up. :-)

        • couponj says:

Melissa, you can use two coupons on a BOGO in Florida… you are buying 2 products. So you can use 2 .75/1 coupons – one for each product. Publix pays for one but they still get reimbursed for the coupon so they actually make money when you use two coupons on a BOGO. They get paid .75 plus the postage for that product they gave you for free.

  5. Amanda says:

I don’t see the cool whip coupon on Target’s website- anyone else able to find it?

  6. Lana says:

Well thank goodness for BOGO Pop-Tarts. Our youngest son will be able to get through the rest of his junior year of college. Every weekend-’got any pop-tarts?’ !

  7. Amie says:

Wow, not a whole lot for me this week. Guess it’s time for a break (though I know I’ll get antsy and go score some deals anyway for the food bank). Though I am pleased to see many good prices on produce this week! :o)

  8. Diane says:

If anyone has any extra Get a bundle of savings, Do a bundle of good booklets please email me at punkindoodl@yahoo.com I have not found these in my area. I will trade. Thanks!

  9. elizabeth says:

Sorrento cheese include the string cheese? Thanks!

    • Heather says:

Not usually but I won’t promise anything. I cannot ever get a deal on the string cheese. This time probably won’t be any different, lol.

  10. couponj says:

Thanks for the list! Love it. I’ll be getting the Dole & Pam for sure.

No Welches again!!! Bummer… those coupons expire 4/15.

  11. Bonnie says:

whoo-Hoo!! What a great week!! Thanks, again for all you do!!

  12. Stacy says:

How will the Duncan Hines deal work with the B2G1 coupon? I get so confused with these.

    • Lindsey Kaye says:

According to this Ask I Heart Publix from last month, you should be able to get 4 for the price of 1 (in FL true bogo land).
      Here’s the post : http://www.iheartpublix.com/index.php/2011/03/ask-i-heart-publix-323/

And I *think* you might be able to also use the $1.25/3 coupon with it, since you’ll have 4 items total and the B2G1 attaches to the free one, leaving you three more boxes available for coupons!

    • MichelleA says:

The b2g1 coupon actually states buy 2 frostings and get 1 cake mix free. :(

    • Stephanie says:

FYI, I printed the B2G1 coupon and it is Free cake mix wyb any 2 DH frosting or 1 comstock or wilderness.

    • couponj says:

In the True BOGO part of Florida… here’s what I think…
The Duncan Hines coupon states, Get 1 Free Premium cake mix when you buy 2 Frosting… it says the value is up to 1.50, so the way I read this coupon, if you buy 2 Frosting for $1.29 and 2 Cake Mix for $1.83, your out of pocket would be 1.29*2=2.58 + 1.83 – 1.50 (max value of coupon) = $2.91

So, for 2.91 you would get 2 cake mixes and 2 frosting (.73 each).

You cannot use the $1/3 Cake mix because it is also a Manufacturer coupon… the B2G1 coupon is for the cake mix (the free product).

Hoping that the BOGO cake mixes are “Premium”.

  13. Nina says:

wow…its a shame that 6 ears of corn for $2.00 is considered a good deal these days. Oh well……..

    • nikki says:

Just heard on the news this AM that the prices of everything will be going up due to less corn available….they put it in our gas tanks so now we are paying the price!

    • Lana says:

It will get cheaper. Corn season in FL is just getting started. We used to buy it right off the truck on the roadside in FL for 20/$1.

  14. Virginia says:

There was a $.50/1 Reynolds Wrap Foil in the AJC this weekend (excludes 20, 25 and 30 square feet). The one on sale for $2.99 is 35 to 75 square feet, so it should match… making it $1.99 for those of us that can double.

  15. Kelly says:

I can’t find the Target Bacon coupon. Anyone else having this problem?

  16. nikki says:

Great week! I am going to stock up on the pineapple…it rarely goes BOGO! It is great in summer desserts!

  17. Marie says:

There is also a $1/1 Dove Chocolate coupon in the 3/6 Red Plum

  18. hallie says:

there is a Q for $1/1 Dove chocolate in my 2/27 SS!

  19. Amy says:

I was hoping for a BOGO coffee deal too. Im on my last bag! : o
But still a great week! Im getting the Dole and Pam too, along with the Alum foil and the Ducan Hines. Im down to my last Pam spray so this is great!

  20. Sharry says:

I am new to couponing and had a question. I have a Publix coupon for $3 off Huggies diapers. I also have a $3.50 off man. coupon and a $3 off Winn Dixie coupon. Can I use all three (store, man., and competitor) on one box of diapers???

    • Miranda B says:

It depends entirely on your Publix store, but most will only except one store coupon and one manuf. coupon, and then all stores have a different selection of stores that they actually consider comptetion. So, if I were you I would call the Publix that you shop at and talk with customer service usually they are very helpful.

    • Cindy Earnest says:

You can use one store and one man…competitor is considered a store coupon, so you can use 2 of them!

    • Jamie says:

I just did the same thing at my Publix. They said it was fine.

    • Michelle says:

That depends completely on your store manager. We have local stores that allow ‘triple stacking’ and others that do not. Check with customer service.

    • Joy says:

Where did you get the Publix coupon?

  21. maggie says:

Think I spotted a 1.50 off 1 renolyds foil from my 4/3 inserts but not sure which one since I don’t have it with me right now. Anyone else spot this?

  22. CynthiaZ says:

Hey Michelle- You may need to note that your receipts for this ad WILL NOT qualify for the Slam Dunk MIR. It states that the purchases needed to be made by 4/09. BUT you can still use the coupons through 4/16.

  23. natasha says:

There’s a Oscar Mayer Center Cut Bacon 12 oz coupon in the stocking up at Publix booklet also.

  24. MichelleA says:

There is a 1.00/1 triscuit coupon on their FB page, and to make it even better there is a 1.00 off produce WYB triscuits coupon here:

    http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?bt=wg&tqnm=ydfhcfa23347155&o=85099&c=AS&p=AzG8wsfa

    woohoo!! :)

  25. J says:

Anyone know zip for 1.25/3 duncan hines?

  26. Lois says:

There is a $1/2 Kellogg’s Special K TARGET q that should work with this sale and a $1/1 Kraft shredded with Philadelphia blinkie that I’m so glad I picked up!!! should be still out at the stores.

  27. Lois says:

ah, ok, i see it listed with the bars, but i thought i would work with the cereal too, am i wrong?

  28. Cathy says:

I didn’t see anything for pets?

  29. Brigitte says:

Guessing there is no grocery purchase required for the Amex gift card deal? I can buy more that way, lol.

  30. becky says:

there was a $1.50 off ritz crackerful tearpad about a month ago at the publix in tuscaloosa. Should make for a free box

  31. Kimme says:

Anyone have a copy of the Target coupopn for wheatthins? I don’t see it out there…

  32. Marie says:

My 4/10 SS doesn’t have Pam coupons. Or Breakstone. :(
Anyone else? Any where else I can get those?

  33. Jen says:

There’s a TARGET coupon – $1/2 Kellogs Special K crackers, ceareal, shakes or multipack bars — not sure if it’s still available, I have mine already printed … exp 4/30 check your binders

    • nikki says:

That will be a great deal to pair with the $1.00 off of 2 printable manufacturer Q. I love their cereal bars!

  34. Tracy says:

Can anyone please tell me which publix in the Nashville TN area excepts Target coupons? Thanks

    • Ashley says:

The Publix on Sam Ridley Parkway in Smyrna takes Target as a competitor and I think that the Publix off of White Bridge Road (close by Nashville State Community College) takes Target but I’m not for certain. Target sits right behind Publix there. Also the Publix on Charolette Pike might take them. I would call and ask :) I do most of my shopping in Smyrna.

    • Lana says:

depends on what you mean by Nashville “area” :) The Spring Hill, TN Publix accepts Target coupons, the on in Franklin off the 96 does not.

    • Angela says:

I happen to know that the Publix in Cool Springs and McKays Mills does not accept Target coupons. Sometimes, when there is more than one good deal using Target competitor coupons, I will make a trip to the Smyrna store that Ashley mentioned. But I always make sure it is worth my while.

    • Lindsey Kaye says:

Not sure about sales, but when I was looking on Smart Source for the Duncan Hines coupon I saw a $0.55/2 dozen eggs. Should be a good deal when paired with Publix brand cartons. Hope it helps!

    • Kelly says:

I’m a couponer from Chicago and trying to teach my mom how to coupon. Is there somewhere on this site or somewhere else where I can read about couponing at Publix? I’m looking for info on things like…do they take RR’s from Wags? Can I use a $1/2 coupon on BOGO items since I’m buying 2? Stuff that may not necessarily be in coupon policy. Thanks!

    • CynthiaZ says:

Best thing to do is to call the Publix that she would go to. There is currently no corporate policy, so it varies from store to store. Maybe come up w/the “interview” questions before hand (definitely find out who they consider a competitor). I would also call the next 2 closest to her, and see if they have policies that would be better for her. Also be aware- Lots of our FL Publix shoppers are getting new “policies” week to week :(
The FAQ @ the top of this page offers some of the very basic “policy” that you will find in stores.

Most likely not (but dont quote me on that). Only because Barilla Plus is twice as expensive as the regular Barilla, and was never included in the past!

Publix takes them :) See Here:

Scroll down to the 7th question…It states:

Q: What types of payment does Publix accept?
A: Publix gladly accepts cash, checks with proper identification, debit cards and five types of credit cards. These include American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Revolution Money, and Discover Network. We also participate in the WIC program and the Electronic Benefits Transfer program.
        Hope That Helps! :D

    • lookitsatree says:

Many retailers/grocers, including Publix and Wal-Mart take them, but the trick to it used to be that you had to have the cashier type in the exact amount left on the card if your order cost more than the card’s balance. Otherwise the card would be rejected. Now, however, some of the cards include the balance on the receipt, so you can keep up with it, and some do not require the cashier to type in the amount at all. I cannot remember which card did what, but worst case scenario: if you use the card and still have a balance remaining, then forget the amount, call the 800 # on the back and they will inform you. All of the cards I have seen lately have done away with the fee for that service.

      • Kari Eso says:

when they sold these in february i bought a bunch and they worked just fine for me, with the exception of mcdonalds. the mcd’s accepted amex, so it was strange, but other than that i didn’t have a problem.

it is especially useful at publix, and the transaction times are reduced dramatically from a debit card (enter pin, authorize transation) to a gift card.

I spoke to my Publix managers and was told that the change would be coming down Juneish. They would still be taking Winn-Dixie and Sweetbay, but not Walgreens and CVS. My Target is a good distance away from them so I don’t know if that is why they weren’t mentioned–no Supertarget her either. I probably have one of the most liberal stores when it comes to coupons. I truly believe that the shows that have been on have something to do with this. I also hope that we will be given some warning as to when the changes will be in effect and what they will be. I’ll continue to shop unless WD comes out a lot cheaper, but I want to know before I get in the checkout line what I can and cannot use. I’m in Florida.

The cashier at Publix told me last Friday, that the company is getting ready to change the Coupon policy and most people would not like it. Any truth? Then she told me prices were going up. Bummer.

    • Karen says:

I was also told by a cashier that the coupon policy would be changing. I don’t know why, the only money out of their pocket is competitor coupons. If they quit doubling, I will be mad. We’ll have to wait and see. Where is your store? I’m in B’ham, Al.

      • Lisa Smith says:

        I shop in Columbus Ga

          • Angela says:

I’m in Cent. FL where there is no doubling already but the Publix I use most is a pilot store for a new coupon system they told me. All this system supposedly does is verifies that you buy the products the coupons are for automatically so the cashiers don’t have to pay so much attention.

      • Janet says:

I shop at the one on Valleydale and I’ve notice they are really watching the coupons more closely. Making sure what is on the coupon is what you purchased. Not a big deal for me since I always purchase what the coupons states.

      • couponj says:

Two different managers have told me that Publix is working on a corporate coupon policy. I think they’re all waiting to hear what it is going to be. On our local news today, during a couponing bit… Publix said that coupon use was up 50% this year. I won’t speculate this will be bad until I see it. I am hopeful it will be in line with what Walmart did and I think it’s a long time coming.

      • Cheryl says:

I’m in Naples, FL. My friend also coupons, and she told me on her most recent purchase that Publix informed her that they are no longer taking competitors coupons effective immediately. I went to a different Publix (we have one every 2 miles here) after hers, and they still took my competitors coupons (Winn Dixie and a local grocery store).

Here, they never doubled coupons in the first place, however I have been able to consistently save 60-70% off my grocery bill each week. My savings rate might go down a bit if they stop taking competitor’s coupons, but not by too much.

If the policy changes drastically, I might shop at Winn Dixie or Walmart instead. Winn Dixie offers really good deals too, and you can’t beat the gas savings they offer with your customer card.

        • RUTH says:

Cheryl, I am in Everglades City 1/2 year and shop in Naples.
Did you know that the Publix on Pine Ridge next to Target has the
lowest prices around. I couldn’t believe the difference. Just letting you know.

        • Laurie D says:

I’m in Naples, FL too! I was told it’s only certain competitors coupons. They denied some that were issued a fundraiser book sold by one of the schools. The person behind me in line had one of them. The changes didn’t affect me from everything they were saying. I love the publix on pine ridge next to target!

      • Melissa says:

Stores that double coupons are only reimbursed for the coupons face value by the manufacturer, the doubled value is taken as a loss (promotional loss) by the company. So if you have $100 worth of coupons and the store doubles all of them the store gets reimbursed for the first $100 and eats the second.

      • dee says:

my store has never doubled coupons..- the story about the policy started last year. first they said February, then march… but they have started a list of non acceptable competitors

    • Shelley says:

Let’s pray that isn’t the case. That would be so bad for their business. When Kroger announced a change it really infuriated everyone and people vowed to shop elsewhere. If I lose the deals at Publix, then I’ll have to go back to shopping mostly at Super Target.

    • Sally says:

I agree, if I lose doubles or stacking or competitor coupons, I will shop at the other 2 stores that I drive past on my way to Publix. ;)

      • Laura says:

What you are hearing is true at least for the Publix’s down here in Florida. A new policy HAS come out and will start to take affect in June. From what ive heard from upper management is that it will not make “couponers” happy.

        • Tanya says:

Does Publix know that there are other grocery stores? That they are not to only one to shop at? If they are changing their coupon policy to somewhat “stick it to us” and that we will not be “happy”, with their new policy, then we will not shop there! I bet Publix will not be “happy” when they start loosing business!

Do they give people that use credit cards a hard time? People that pay with credit cards are costing them way more money, because of the percentage that the credit card companies charge them. Publix makes a lot more money from us “couponers”, when they get reimbursed from the clearing houses and from us purchasing more items than what we would usually purchase, due to our coupons.

Practical couponers (like us) should not be penalized for those “extreme couponers” that rape the shelves of every last item! As usual, one bad apple spoils the pie. Good thing that those “extreme couponers” have enough toliet paper and mustard to last them until eternity!

          • Teresa says:

Tanya, I couldn’t have said it better myself!

          • AKH says:

Agreed, Tanya. And it seems that the best way to curb abuses would be a maximum number of items per deal (as I’ve seen them do on the coke deals and a few others). Not sticking it to the responsible couponers.

          • carmen says:

we will all have to just write letters to Publix corporate on how we feel. We will not go down without a fight!! :)

          • J Elliott says:

I used to grocery shop ONLY at Walmart. Because of the coupons I can use at Publix, this is now the only place I shop. I can’t stand Walmart. If Publix changes their policy – looks like I’m going back to Walmart because I can only shop at Publix with the coupon deals as Walmart is cheaper. This stinks.

          • Jennifer says:

lol about the mustard! that lady was soooo obnoxious with the mustard! I mean, seriously?? loll

          • Tanya says:

(a different Tanya from above!) :) My Mom works at Publix and she told me months ago Publix planned to change their policy. Mine already stopped accepting Wags and CVS. I am expecting they will stop all competitor coupons. Considering the amount of money they are ‘eating’ from currently accepting them, I’m sure they are expecting it to improve their bottom line. I won’t stop shopping at Publix, but it will mean I’ll be buying more at Target bc many times their prices are less. We’ll all just be looking harder for the best deals!

One thing I’ve noticed is that now the cashiers at Publix are always asking if I have coupons. Has this been happening elsewhere?

          • Laura says:

I’m not thrilled with the coupon policies changing either. From what I’ve understood though that they are trying to cut down on the amount of people abusing the current policy and that they are expecting it to only affect a small percentage (I’ve heard 3% tossed around a lot) I think this is a clear case of a few bad apples ruining the bunch and this new policy is only going to make my job more difficult. With the tough economic times we are living in right now I take every possible oppotunity to keep our customers happy and keep them shopping with us and not the competition. Turning away any customer for what ever reason is not the way to keep our current shoppers in my opinion.

          • Kathrin says:

I work for PUBLIX and am a full time cashier. I too am a couponer, but what people fail to realize is that SO many people who do the “coupon thing” are CHEATERS. It irritates me to no end when someone comes through my line, hands me a stack of coupons and half of the darned things are photo copies!! And I’m supposed to play stupid like I don’t know any better. Or people who “buy” coupons and buy 50 bags HALLS cough drops. Seriously, who needs that many cough drops? So yes, I agree that the potential corporate wide coupon policy might suck somewhat, but its been a long time coming and for the people that cheat or buy out the shelf and leave nothing for others. There’s always someone out there who has to ruin it for others.
I don’t know what the policy will be, but I think we should all just calm down and wait what happens. It is what it is.

        • CrazyMoM says:

I know a few Winn Dixie Store managers here in central Florida and they said they same thing Winn Dixie is getting strict about coupons and will bring out a new policy as well… I have a feeling no more 2 coupons per Bogo item, limits on how many coupons you can use… all Thanks to TLC…

          • Lynette Henk says:

Our Winn Dixie in Port Charlotte, FL has not accepted 2 coupons for 2 items on BOGO for a while now. They won’t let you use the coupon on what they consider the “free” item. That is why I don’t shop there much anymore. If Publix does the same thing, I will just shop at Target, Sams & Sav a lot. I think what corporate does not realize, is that many of us have blogs and are driving lots of customers to there stores in our free advertising. If I stop shopping there, you can pretty much guarantee I won’t be listing their sales on my blog or sharing that Publix is a good store to shop at when there is a coupon class to teach people how to be more frugal. I will be listing my competitions deals.

        • jacqueline rogelio says:

laura that was said in feb, march and april. if you call corporate they still tell you that it is not out. Your store must have managers who are not coupon friendly. You really need to make a phone call to corporate. Smart managers know that they get a rebate from the coupons and they get credit for the free item from the retailer. it may not make couponers who use cvs or walgreens coupons. and rightfully so because these are not grocery stores. the deals will still be there no matter what they choose. you may just have to shop at a few different stores or hit publix a few times in a week. everybody needs to relax and shop right. change does not mean it will be a bad thing.

          • Laura says:

Lol there are a few misinformed managers at my store…absolutely. Coming from a family of “lifers” as I call them I have many days where I’m completely disgusted by what happens on the front end and I place the blame on the lack of training about the whole coupon process. From what I have heard from my family there will be training for all customer service staff, management and front service personel on the new policy coming soon and customer service staff are already changing the way things are handled in the back office as well as front. A large packet of changes came out last week to start streamlining the process.

    • Jennifer says:

I was at my Publix today in Athens, Georgia. I was told that they were going to only take manu and store coupons. They were going to stop taking competitor’s coupons and that what is stated on the coupon has to be what is purchased. They will no longer be able to let you purchase (for example) mentos mints when the coupon states mentos gum. People at my store abuse the policy or lack of policy that Publix has. But people who try to cheat is the reason for this. She also stated that the policy is going on in Florida stores now and that the whole Publix Corporation was going to have a coupon policy and that it will be on the Publix website soon.

      • Kim says:

My store has been changing things in central FL, but it’s more just limits on the number of deals & competitor coupons you can use. I really believe it’s the “extreme couponers” who “won’t be happy”. Since things have changed, I’ve saved just as much & things are much more available since there’s limits. I really do think a posted policy was inevitable.

        • Amanda says:

Where do you shop in Central FL if I may ask? I want to see what exactly the rules are in central FL. I tried going to the one in Deltona for the SS booklet but customer service said they don’t have them. I am new to couponing and would really love any assistance/guidance you could give me.

          Thanks!

          • Becky says:

I shop at the Orange City Publix. The Publix on the corner of Providence and Doyle is very coupon friendly. What questions do you have?

      • Jack says:

At my Publix they haven’t doubled any coupons for the past 6 months that I know of, will not take many competitors coupons, and give a hard time about using more than one coupon at a time. However, I have been vigilant with the sale prices and cannot find a store that has better prices (with respect to BOGO deals). I’m not raking in freebies by any means, but I do get by. I have noticed that couponing is becoming the norm, not the exception. The problem isn’t extreme couponing, it is the trend toward using coupons strategically that is causing stores to reconsider their policies. In the past, when I used 2 or 3 coupons at once I was lectured by other people in line about how poorly I was using my ads. Apparently if you aren’t saving hundreds, you are shunned from the grocery stores and sent to coupon clipping clubs, websites etc. I’m new to this and I love it, but I have a feeling the values aren’t going to be as readily available in the future from any grocer.

    • SKelly says:

I was told the same thing yesterday by my cashier. I live in Ormond Beach, FL. She said they were going to be more strict and may no longer accept Target’s coupons, but may still accept Winn Dixie’s coupons.

      • jacqueline rogelio says:

hi skelly, i live in pc. i always assumed OB wouldnt take target because the rule is techinically 5 miles. We even have 2 publix in town that wont take target cause the are past the 5 mile range. the other 3 do though. it just depends on the manager.

    • Miranda says:

hello, I am a cashier at Publix in Lake Mary, FL, and I do know that there is going to be some changes. From what my managers have told me though, it is supposed to be more of a standardized form, where the coupon policies will be more available to customers, and all publix’s store per region will except the same coupons. i.e. right now we except CVS coupons but the publix about 2 miles away doesnt. A lot of time the coupon policy is not written out, and not all cashiers follow the same process, so this way everyone will be on the same page. At my store, a lot of the time it depends on which manager is there, as to which coupons we can except, which can get confusing, for both employees, and customers. I also heard we are going to stop accepting target coupons soon, which would suck, as I am a huge couponer myself, but they might start accepting BJ and SAMs coupons again. anyways, I believe this is what the change is going to be, I dont think were going to stop taking competitor coupons all together, just make the list standard for all stores. I hope this helps. :)

    • Beth says:

my cashier said they were just going to be enforcing what’s on the coupons. however, she seemed to think that “one per purchase” means “one per customer”

    • Sarah says:

IDK — I’ve been couponing for the last few years and there has always been talk about Publix changing their policy (even a friend of mine who worked there told me that in 2009) and I have yet to see any changes at any of my local stores in the last 3 years (with the exception of Albertson’s Q’s, when that store closed it was no longer consider a competitor and they stopped accepting them –with good reason). I’ll believe it when I see the policy in writing for all us to see (and follow appropriately).

    • Craig says:

I am sure with the growing popularity of that ridiculous show on TLC that makes us couponers look like hoarders, there is a growth in newbies trying to cash in on the game. I would think a standardize policy would help clarify what people can and cannot do, and help weed out the people who are clearing the shelves and stocking 100 butterfingers in their carts.

On a side note, does ANYONE know the cycle of Kashi cereal?! I can’t seem to pick up on that cycle and we go through 3-4 boxes a week of the GoLean. I FINALLY found a new $1/1 coupon but am saving them for the sales, that is if it ever hits again :)

I heard somewhere that Florida does not allow double couponing in any store.

  71. Kim says:

For the Quaker Grits that are BIGIF ($1.17) Go to http://see.walmart.com/quaker/ and you can print off a coupon good for $1.00 off 2 Quaker Breakfast items. Makes the grits .67 a box!

  72. Karen Melvin says:

I need the zip for the duncan hines coupon…having trouble finding it and my mother loves to bake cakes.

  73. Kris S. says:

Ok.. I am confused.. I see all these coupons applied to ONE deal.. How do you do that? I understand they double their coupons up to 50cents.. which would make it a $1 off.. but there are sometimes 4-5 coupons listed.. ugh.. So confused.. i think I need someone to hold my hand and show me..lol

    • Lindsey Kaye says:

The coupons listed after each item are just to give you multiple sources if you have access to one and not another – not to suggest you use all of them at once :)

You’ll get the hang of it, just stick with it. Michelle is the best to learn from around!

  74. Kim says:

What does SS insert mean? I am new to the couponing world.

    • Jennifer says:

Smart Source. Read the “Basics” at the top of the website and it will teach you everything :)

    • Cheryl says:

Welcome to couponing! When I started, I would save about 30-50% off of my bill (includes all my weekly perishables). Now just 9 months into it, I save 50-70% off every bill. You’ll get the hang of it quickly, and you are great by asking questions.

Here’s the most common coupon inserts:
SS = Smart Source coupon insert normally in the Sunday paper (listed with the date that the coupon insert was distributed)
RP = Red Plum coupon insert normally in the Sunday paper
PG = Proctor and Gamble Sunday Coupon Insert

  75. Haley says:

Can anyone tell me where the Marie Callender’s pie coupon is in the All You magazine? I can’t find it anywhere!

    • Angela says:

It is only in the store bought All You. :( There is a tear out section in the center with Conagra q’s

      • michelle says:

Yes, what is the deal w/ that? Why does the store bought one have better coupons? If this is the case every month then what is the point in subscribing? I may have to cancel my subscription!

  76. Shawna says:

How many Publix coupons can I use on the Lay’s BOGO? Its the only coupon I have.

  77. Amy says:

The three Publix near my house are all out of the yellow flyers. Does anyone have any extra Lays coupons they’d be willing to trade? Email me: amys0719 at gmail dot com.

    Thanks!

  78. Amy says:

There is a coupon that I got in some other product’s package for $1 off of one Reynold’s Wrap, expires 4/30/11, excludes 20, 25, and 30 sq. ft.

  87. kris r says:

my publix cashier told me today there is an “extreme” couponer at our store now and they now limit her coupons per purchase b/c they have to have a mgr approve her coupons every time (meaning the coupons are over 80% of the purchases, the register starts beeping regardless if the coupons should go thru or not… it is the way they are set up..) they said it was too hard for the cashiers to remember all the items she had b/c the baggers were bagging too fast and they like to match up everything… at least this store they are really particular… hmmmm. that darn show is affecting everyone, even the honest ones.

    • Kari Eso says:

my cashiers have told me to hand them my Qs at the start of the transaction, so that they can take the Qs off as they go. although it is harder for me to “verify” the total Qs as we go (to make sure I got the total $ off i was expecting) it makes it easier to make sure each item i think i used a Q for was deducted.

and, if it makes the cashier’s job easier, then i am all for it.

there should be a show called “regular couponers” where the rest of us are featured. but who would watch THAT?

i also did not know that they had to get a manager approval if your savings were over that amount. i’ve only had them call the manager once for that…i didn’t understand it at the time, but now i’m excited. that means i had a good trip! :)

      • jacqueline rogelio says:

no the machine beeps and you need manager approval code when you have more coupons than the amount of items. so if you have 10 items and 15 coupons (because you have competitor or publix coupons with manufacturer coupons) the system beeps. It is to help make sure you are not purchasing more items than you have coupons for.

I always pull the item out and have the coupons for those items with the items so the cashier can see the exact amount of coupons I have. It is easier for the cashier and then they trust me more. We have some serious scammers in our town.

  88. Ellie says:

Can’t find the coupon for the Fresh Express Salad 4/3 SS. Anyone else have this issue? I have looked through everything & can’t find it!

  89. Nicole says:

I’m in Wesley Chapel FL and learned today from the Publix here (from a cashier) that they are now (and have been for a month) taking Target coupons. Thought this might be helpful – I know there have been lots of deals I’ve missed out on because Target wasn’t a competitor before (even though it’s only 1 mile down the road!). She did say there are changes coming to the coupon policy but she didn’t know when.

  90. Marissa says:

If you take advantage of the Kellogg’s Special K BOGO, check the back of the cereal box. On certain boxes they have coupons. There are two but, I only have one with me right now to tell you, the other is a guess. I am new and not quite used to the lingo yet so please forgive me but, the one I have is:
-$2/WYB 1 Special K Cereal AND 1 package of Special K Protein Shakes
-$1/WYB 1 Special K Cereal AND 1 package of Special K Bars (MEMORY ONLY)

    Enjoy!

  91. Rene says:

I have a .40/1 Wesson Oil that expires 5/15/11 that makes for a better deal than the $1/2. Not sure which insert though, sorry!

  92. Brandi says:

Not sure if it was mentioned, but there is a target web coupon for the special K $1/2 special k products exp 4/30.

  93. Brandi says:

Did two trips today (two stores) and saved a ton. Then I was informed at the second publix (mine was out of boy pullups) that the corporate thing is definitely happening and they will definitely be cutting all non-grocery competitors even within 5 miles AND possibly killing ANY printables. The guy said corporate knows people are copying them. I can see people doing that but that kills it for us!

    • kris r says:

if they know at corp that ppl are copying coupons then they should be like kroger who checks the upc codes on the printables.. they do here at our krogers… to make sure each one has a unique code.. if they were copied they would all have the same code. there would be other ways to fix it other than cutting out printables… ugh another abuse issue.

  94. Brandi says:

Makes me almost glad I’m moving to colorado next week. The places there are awesome. Thought I was gonna miss my publix trips but now not sure….

    • Michele says:

I agree with you! I am moving to Arizona this May and I have already started looking at grocery stores in the area I will be living in. There are actually a diversity of grocery stores; not just a monopoly of Publix’s like it is in south Florida. One of the grocery stores in AZ even stated on thier weekly ad that they were going to make any amount coupon below $1, to $1. For example, if you had a 35 cent coupon, it would get changed to $1! Amazing! And they take competitor coupons. There were 14! stores that they considered thier competitors! Sooooo excited!

  95. Tammy says:

Does any one a stock up and save booklet?

  96. Carrie says:

I couldn’t find the Quirch’s sweet plantains in my ad or in my store. It didn’t seem to be in the ATL ad either…did anyone see it?

  97. Ashley says:

Not sure where I clipped the coupon from (had to be out out of the paper though) but it was $1.50 off Crackerfuls. Two of those and it was a .20 overage with the BOGO…in the Tampa area.

  98. Sassy says:

Bertolli also has a $1.50 in this weeks booklet, to be paired with $1/2 Target coupon if your store accepts. On sale this week 2/$4.

  99. elaine says:

in the new spring savings booklet there is a publix coupon for .55 off duncan hines cake mix and frosting. if you match that with the .75 off from one of the inserts..(can’t remember which one.) you can get 2 cake mixes and 2 frostings for 1.81..not too bad imo.

  100. Elizabeth says:

As a Publix department manager let me ease your panic. Publix is set up on “Automated Replenishment”. Orders are forecasted on past sales and I must say, it is extremely accurate. Publix is only going to start limiting the “deals” for coupons, because Automated Replenishment cannot “predict” if someone comes in and wipes out the shelf with 20 coupons for the same item. The new policy is only going to hurt the people who have abused the current coupon system. On the other hand, all of the other people who are not in it for pure greed will benefit because the shelves will always have the product. As far as competitor coupons, I am quite sure Publix will still accept coupons from other grocery chains within the demographic area of the Publix you shop at, and I stress grocery chains–Winn-Dixie, Kroger, Etc.
    Hope this helps.

  101. Stephanie says:

Target has a new coupon posted on its website for $2 off three bags of the Dove candy.

  102. Leanne Kazi says:

The crackerfuls that you have on this sheet for BOGO $2.99 are actually $3.49 per box. What publix has them for $2.99??

  103. Jennifer B. says:

Is anybody able to find Target coupon for WhipCream?

    • melissa says:

If you are talking about the cool whip coupon no, I can’t find it…I have looked and looked. I also missed out on the Sara Lee coupon!

    • deborah says:

it’s one from weeks ago – I think I printed mine back in March. If it makes you feel better, it’s expired now.

  104. Shawnee says:

  105. Christine says:

The American Express card has a $5 activation fee:(

    • fi says:

you can use the amex to shop, but keep in mind they usually take a few hours to activate. I sure like those $5 off q’s better, but shoot, whatever helps the bottom line.

  106. fi says:

awesome deal on yoplait delights with .50 cent target q, .50 mfc q and .55 publix q if your store accepts target. You can score these for only .45 cents each.

  111. Linda says:

There is still a $1/2 Special K coupon available at Target.

  112. missy says:

There was a $1.50 off of one crackerfuls in the paper sunday…I used 2 of those and got 2 boxes for free.
Also there was a spring coupon booklet at my publix today that had 55 cents off of any 1 duncan hines cake mix or frosting…pair it up with the bogo for a great day on cakes!

  113. Angela says:

I’s new to this coupon thing, and I noticed you have Target coupons listed for the publix deals. Why is that? Does Publix take Target coupons????

  114. LJ says:

    Tuttorosso Blinkie:

OMG pls tell me this is IN store! I grew up on Tuttorosso and can’t always afford to buy it at $1.87 (SOOOO much more expensive down here in FL than it ever was in Brooklyn) but if the blinkie is in store I’m super stocking up!!
