Publix Weekly Ad 3/17 to 3/24 (3/16 to 3/23 for some)

March 14, 2011

Here is the Publix ad that begins 3/17 (3/16 for some). Please note that this is the Metro-Atlanta version of the ad. Be sure and check your ad for any variations.

When you see the checkmark stockpile button13 Publix Weekly Ad 3/17 to 3/24 (3/16 to 3/23 for some) – those items are either a great stockpile price or a stockpile price with coupon(s). Some items are designated stock up price based on a coupon doubling, so if your store doesn’t double it may not be a stock up price for you.

There is no spreadsheet this week – I’ll bring it back just as soon as it’s fixed…sorry guys!

  3. Lois says:

Thanks Michelle! Kinda short ad this week, but I’m happy for the Morningstar sale! BOGO would be nice, but this works too

    • tampatwinmom says:

was there mention of the morning star coupon book at publix a few weeks ago? the coupons would pair well with the sale

  4. Lois says:

There is a $1/2 Lysol wipes q still good on the HomeSolutionsNews website

  5. Lori says:

Some good deals…I like some of the 10/$10 sales! Thanks Michelle! :)

  6. Lisa says:

There is a $2 off Banana Boat in the green flyer

  7. Doug says:

Another website shows Oscar Mayer beef franks BOGO. If true, this is a huge deal I’ve been waiting for, with Qs for $1 off beef franks, buy a beef franks get a turkey franks free, and $1 off produce wyb 16oz Oscar Mayer meat. I’m wondering if I could use four $1 off produce Qs on this?

  8. Carra says:

There are $1/1 Tide coupons in the P&G $110 Booklet. Will make the Tide $4.99 plus free stain release!

    • Lynne says:

The free Tide Stain Release PG coupon says – BUY 1 TIDE DETERGENT 75OZ OR MORE AND GET 1 FREE TIDE STAIN RELEASE – since the one that is on sale is not 75OZ you won’t be able to use the free Tide Stain Release coupon :(

  9. jay says:

Does anyone know when Kibbles and Bits are going to be BOGO? Michelle posted about it a couple of weeks ago, but it hasn’t happened yet.

  10. Beverly says:

There is a $1/1 philadelphia cooking creme in the Winn Dixie spring booklet if u haven’t already used it.

    • Julie says:

I saw this coupon, and I’m not sure what it is. It doesn’t say store coupon, but it doesn’t say Manufacturer Coupon either. Does anyone know if it can be stacked with mfr Q’s?

      • wendyc33 says:

it was a store coupon, and yes can be stacked. winn dixie didnt allow it, but publix should.

        • gayla says:

my publix considered it a MQ cause on the side it has where to submit for reimbursement. i guess YMMV on that one. :)

        • wendyc33 says:

well i looked at it and it appears to be a manf. coupon. it says retailer coupon on it though. the retailer coupons and store coupons confuse me. it starts with a 5 so i guess its a manf coupon. oh well still good deals on the cooking cremes. but i need some recipes so julie since you went to a cooking party, share some good recipes. lol.
they look really good. I have not yet cooked with them though.

          • wendyc33 says:

sorry i mean april, not julie. lol

          • April E says:

Here’s my favorite recipe we tried with it:

1 box of rainbow rotoni pasta
3 pkg of perdue chicken shortcuts
1 container of Philly Cooking Cream – Santa Fe Variety

Cook pasta according to directions. Once drained, place back in pot, add cooking cream and chicken. Heat until cooking cream is melted and chicken is hot. Serve.

So easy and great! The Cooking cream is essentially cream cheese made to be cooked with it. It seems to have a better texture when heated.

    • J says:

It is a manufacturer coupon ..starts with a 5 and states
      Kraft foods will reimburse.

  11. April E says:

Very excited about the Philly Cooking Creme on sale! Attended a house party for it this weekend and it was fabulous!

  12. Darla says:

I didn’t get a Vigo .50/1 in my insert this weekend… I checked some of the clipping services and couldn’t find any. Does anyone know what region got this coupon?

    • elizabeth says:

      Darla,
There is a link to click on and print out coupon.

      • Darla says:

Thanks elizabeth! I did get the printed coupons and was hoping to order more to stock up. :)

        • Julie says:

          Darla,
I just found the rice coupons at Coupons and Things by DeDe. I have never used this service before so I have no experience or opinions about it but I’m going to give it a try for the rice coupons. Good luck.
          Julie

          • Brigitte says:

I have used her coupon service before. I believe you have to have at least $3 in coupons before shipping, not positive though.

          • Darla says:

Found them!! :) Thanks so much!!

          • Tammy says:

This is the one site I usually use, kinda expensive (.8-.30 each!). But I’ve never had a problem with my order, always correct. And they usually have the popular ones in stock longer. I’ve tried others but they are always out of stock on the q’s I want/need.

    • LeighMerz says:

I couldn’t find them at the zip code 33309. Any others out there for printables? Thanks in advance for your help!

  13. tara says:

I am a little confused about the hot dog deal. Do I buy 4 (2 beef and 2 turkey) and use 2 target coupons and use 2 of the publix coupons?

    • Doug says:

If the beef dogs are BOGO, but not the turkey franks: Yes, buy 2 + 2. Also use four $1 off produce Qs. I suppose they could disallow the 2nd Target Q if your store doesn’t allow overage, since the turkey franks would already be free.

Also, if the turkey franks are included in the BOGO, I think the deal changes. Buy one beef, one turkey. Use the BOGO Q to get both free. Use the $1/2 Target Q if your store allows overage. Use two $1 produce Qs.

      • Jamilla says:

In true BOGO (Florida) we should be able to get 4 free packages (2 beef & 2 turkey) using just the BOGO coupons plus save on produce too!!

        • Jamilla says:

          Never mind…I don’t think that’s right.

          • Doug says:

Jamilla, you’re right, but only if both beef and turkey are BOGO, because then Publix is giving you 2 free and the Qs make the other 2 free.

        • Happywife says:

If turkey is not included, how do we tie the turkey dogs in? Aren’t you supposed to get only beef for free? Please help, I’d really prefer the turkey dogs :)

          • Kimberly says:

The printable bogo Q is buy 1 beef, get 1 turkey for free. So, buy 2 beef for bogo sale and use 2 bogo printables to get 2 turkey for free. You end up paying for 1 beef and everything else is free.

    • Doug says:

As Lana pointed out in an earlier comment, we have to see if the BOGO sale includes the “selects” beef franks required by the Q.

  14. Katie Brown says:

Words cannot express my gratitude for what you do for me each and every day. You have educated me on how to be a good couponier. Thru your help i have learned how to stockpile and have saved 100′s of dollars on my grocery bill. Thank you so very much!

  15. elizabeth says:

Are the fresh steamers included in the green giant? If so, there is a coupon on the target website!

i can not find the oscar m frank coupon for $1/2. Need a different zip?

  16. debby340 says:

Thanks for the early preview! Is there another way to get the Mueller’s coupon? It says there are no coupons available when I click on the link. Help!!

    • Bright Spot says:

You have to sign up for their emails, and they’ll email you a link for a coupon. I did it this morning and the email came within 30 minutes, and I had no problem printing the coupon.

  17. debby340 says:

Help!! The mueller’s coupon is not available on that link, is there another way to get it? Thanks for all you do!!

    • Happywife says:

I created an account for the Mueller’s and they emailed the coupon to my address! :)

      • Jenny says:

Hey, does anyone know if there is really a limit on these? Like can I use two for the bogo sale. The site says 1 per customer, but printing from my mom’s computer shows NO difference in the coupon. I know, within resonable limits, but what is everyone else’s take on this one?

  18. Julie says:

I’ve been getting this on any Q I try to print from Target for over a week (tried two computers): “We’re Sorry! You’ve reached the limit of coupons you’re currently eligible to receive.” Has anyone else seen this?

    • Flyn says:

I got the same message last Monday on 2 computers. On Tuesday of that week I could print Target coupons again. The coupons had been reset by the time I could print on Tuesday. Changed nothing on my computer.

    • Rachel says:

I got the same thing last monday but buy tues I could print again. Haven’t tried today to see if I’ll be able to or not.

    • Julie says:

I tried a few times last week and never could and could not this morning. Must be an intermittent problem on their end.

  19. wendyc33 says:

the quaker quakes had 1.00/2 peelies on them, making 2 for 1.00

  20. tonya82 says:

Just found .55 off of lance crackers on their website…was able to hit the back button and get two!!

  21. Pam says:

The Q for Buy one Tide Detergent get one Tide Stain Release free is for the 75 oz Tide and the one on sale is 56-57 oz, so it will not work.

  22. crystal says:

YES!!! i knew it would happen. i held off on buying butter until i knew if it would be BOGO and it is!!! pays to wait sometimes.

  23. Jordan H. says:

There was a target coupon available on their website not too long ago for colgate toothpaste $1.00 off. Combine that with the $.75/1 from the 2/27 smartsourse for $.75 in overage (if your store allows)

    • Sarah says:

The coupon is on colgate total and I am guessing that since it is a more expensive toothpaste, that it is not part of the sale. But who knows?

    • mary says:

The Target coupon was for the Colgate Total Advanced toothpaste so that coupon will only apply if that variety is included in the sale.

  24. Beckyy says:

I’m not finding the ragu q with free pasta in my RP 3/13. Is this a regional q?

  25. Margaret says:

For the nabisco cookie trays that are BOGO for $5.99, there is a publix coupon from the stock up and save now flyer, says $.60/1 for any oreo or chips a hoy cookies (23-26 oz). Buy 2: Use 2 $.60/1 (if allowed ), 1 $1/2 target Q and 1 $1/2 manufacturer Q from the Kraft Food and Family booklet, makes it $1.39 each.

  26. Frauke K. says:

Signed into Mueller’s website but it’s telling me there are no coupons at this time :(

  27. Susan says:

There’s also a tearpad for $1/3 any variety Green Giant frozen boxed vegetables. Found weeks ago–may still be around.

  28. Nicole says:

When is cat chow going to be BOGO?? Bought coupons and I haven’t seen it for a while. Hope they offer it before my coupons expire!!

  29. Steve says:

I believe people regularly misuse the “Buy X and Get $’s off Y” coupons by assuming that the coupon attaches to the “Y” product and not the “X” product. The manufacturer of the “X” product is reimbursing the store for the coupon and the coupon should attach to the “X” product. If the coupon only attaches to the “Y” product then why not buy just one “X” product and use as many coupons as the qty of “Y” products purchased? Hope I am not confusing anyone. The hot dog sale and coupon scenarios given above are a good example of this.

    • Sarah says:

I don’t understand what you are talking about. It I buy 2 beef and 2 turkey dogs, then I have four packages of hot dogs total. I can use 4 $1 off produce coupons because I am buying 4 packages of hot dogs. The target coupons stack.

      • Steve says:

I agree with your scenario, but if you also use 2 of the manufacturer coupons for “Buy One Beef Get One Turkey Free” because the Turkey Franks are not included in the BOGO sale then you are stacking 2 manufacturer coupons on the Beef Franks (the produce and the BOGO coupons).

        • Sarah says:

I suppose it depends on the way you look at it. I have always been told that the produce coupon attaches with the produce. It seems to be one of the gray areas in couponing that you never get a consistent answer on.

          • Steve says:

If the produce coupon only attaches to the produce then you should be able to buy one Beef Frank and then use as many of the produce coupons as you have produce items. Lets see, if I buy one beef frank and 10 oranges then I can use 10 produce coupons for $1.00 each and since my store allows overages pocket the difference. Also, the beef frank manufacturer will reimburse the store at least $10 for my purchase of one package of beef franks. Think about it!

      • Tiffani says:

I disagree with your 1:35 comment from today. The produce coupon (attaching to the produce) allows customers to receive, “-$1 off Publix® produce when you buy any OSCAR MAYER meat (16 oz. or larger)”.

With that, Oscar Mayer meat must be purchased (16 oz) in order to receive $1 off produce. A customer therefore cannot only purchase 1 thing of Oscar Mayer meat (16 oz) and receive $10 off 10 oranges.

The language on the coupon must always be complied with.

        • Tiffani says:

In order to use a 2nd $1 off produce coupon, the customer MUST get another 16 ounces of Oscar Mayer meat. Period.

          • Steve says:

In other words, the produce coupon attaches to the Oscar Mayer meat. Exactly what I have been saying. I used the orange example as satirical example for those who say you can use both the free Turkey Franks coupon and produce coupon on the same Beef Franks purchase.

          • Tiffani says:

I don’t have a set opinion on whether the produce coupon “attaches” to the produce or to the hot dogs. It’s a gray area and it’s up to couponers and the individual stores to decide what is proper/okay for them.

My explanation above was in no way implying that folks shouldn’t use the produce coupon AND the FREE hot dog coupon in the same transaction. The only thing that is clear is that a customer must get a 16 oz pack of hot dogs if they wish to receive a $1 off produce.

    • Doug says:

I can see Steve’s point, but in my experience the store’s treat these as if they attach to product Y and not X, and limit one Y coupon per X purchased.

      • Steve says:

Yes, you are correct and I have experienced the same treatment. However, I called the manufacturer (Oscar Mayer) and they confirmed that they did not intend both coupons to be used on the same purchase. They reimburse Publix for both coupons.

  30. crystal says:

are baked lays included in the bogo?

  31. Erica says:

Anyone else unable to find the Target Oscar Mayer Franks coupon?

    • Holly says:

Target has printables that are available for a certain amount of time. I don’t think those are available now, they were a couple weeks ago, that’s when I printed mine. If there is a TARGET coupon on something you think you might be buying in the near future, I would go on and print it because you never know when they will pull them :-)

      • Layne says:

I could use some help with this because I don’t want to print coupons for something I may want to buy but won’t unless they go on sale so I can maximize my savings. I used to print coupons like that and then wait to see if they went on sale and they would expire before I had a chance to use them, wasting ink and paper. What would you suggest as far as printing coupons but not knowing whether or not they’ll be a sale to use them on before they expire?

  32. dorothy says:

FYI the Taco Bell coupon in All You is for $1 off 2 not one

  33. meagan says:

are u not doing the spreadsheet anymore?

  34. Winn dixie had free cook book when you buy 4 philidalphia products… you might wanna look!

    • Hayley says:

where is this listed? Is it in the Spring Fwd For Savings booklet? Are you going to try to use it at Publix? If so, how?

  35. Brittney says:

I’m not sure how the Mueller’s Q works. I signed up under my email and my husbands because you can only print one The email came to both accounts, but when I printed, it was the same bar code. How will this work? Only one per computer? Help!

    • Jenny says:

Thats what I saw too. And I looked VERY closly at the dot barcode on the coupon too and cannot find a difference. I want my store to be reimbursed, and it almost looks like this is simular to a pdf on this one. I’m kinda iffy tho. glad I’m not the only one who noticed.

    • Lindsey Kaye says:

It’s a PDF, so I’m pretty sure they’ll all print the same everywhere. I think the limit is set so that you can only use the link/print option once. Might be wrong though!

  36. PEGGY says:

Theres a 5.00 coupon on allegra in the Green Advantage Buy March Into Savings: 3/12 to 4/1

  41. Jennifer says:

I found a $1/2 coupon on the side of the Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut cereal box last time these went BOGO.

  42. Tina says:

Could you tell me more about the Huggies In Ad coupon? Does it mean “two diapers and two wipes” or “one diaper + one wipe = two” to get the five dollars off?

  43. Sally says:

The Vigo Rice coupon is no longer on the Red Plum site. The Oscar Mayer coupon isn’t on the Target site any longer either.

  44. Sarah says:

Hey, I know that this doesn’t pertain to this weeks ad but for those of you who received the free Excedrin coupon several weeks back that expires on the 31st and haven’t used it yet then now is the time. Target has a coupon for $3.00 off on their website, so combine that with the manufacturers coupon and you get $3.00 overage… =)

  45. Mary says:

There’s a Publix store coupon for $2.00 off the 4 lb. bag of Iams Premium Cat Food in the “Who Loves You?” pet booklet I found in a rack today next to the customer service counter @ my store. (The back of the coupon says good March 17 through April 13, but I was able to use another coupon from this book today.). Paired with the manufacturer’s coupon, $3.69 for the bag. (reg. $7.99 here)

  46. carolyn says:

I just wanted to give you a personal thank-you for all the hard work you do posting everything on the site for all of us to see. I was turned on to your site a few months ago by a stranger in the Publix parking lot and because of that great tip….I have saved hundreds and hundreds of dollars. I am now known as the Coupon Queen. I now Love, Love, Love Publix and shop there atleast 3-5 times a week. My trip last night produced 180.00 dollars worth of groceries and I only paid $6.71. So, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for all you do and allowing others to prosper as well.

    Sincerely,

    Carolyn in Sarasota…

  50. Laura says:

    THANK YOU!!!
I don’t know where I would be without your site….
Hope you NEVER get tired of COUPONING/BLOGGING about great deals!!!

    LOVE UR SITE!

  51. chrystalm says:

I dont see the soy milk coupons that are supposed to be in the spring publix family style magazine. I picked up 2 books from the store and I only saw coupons for the sargento cheese. Does anyone know if the coupons are supposed to come in the magazine at the store or only in the magazine that is mailed out to customers. I have 5 $1 off coupons for soy milk and my children love it. (Very vanilla is my favorite). I would love to pick up some more.

  52. mary jane says:

I did not see the kibbles and bits dog food on sale but I seen it somewhere else BOGO on the 23 of march can you tell me when and if it is going on sale thanks

  53. Jennifer says:

If you are a member of the Publix pet program, they just sent out a coupon for $2 off Pedigree dog food. Great coupon to stack with the other listed!

  54. Ashley C says:

    • Margaret says:

Yep! I have a bunch in the freezer and so far it has defrosted well. I just make sure to shake it really well once it’s thawed before I use it.

Hi – I’m new to couponing and even newer to shopping at Publix. Is there a limit to the number of coupons you can use in one trip? With B1G1 deals this week, I’m looking at using 53 MQ in one trip. I have as many as 10 coupons for the same item…of course I’m going to buy 10 of the items & use one coupon per item. Thanks!

    • Rebrekkable says:

Most Publix stores simply say that you cannot have more coupons than items; other than that, I think there is no limit! You may want to call your Publix and ask; Customer Service is excellent about respectfully and helpfully answering all your questions. I wish you the best on your new excursion!

    • Kris says:

I’ve never had any trouble using 40 or 50 coupons in one transaction as long as I had the products to match up with them. I hope you can find some good competitior Q’s to stack with them to make your trip even better. Happy shopping!

    • Mendy says:

My store doesn’t have a limit on the total number of coupons, but we can only purchase 6 of any one item at a time

    • ginab says:

      Thanks for responding!

    • Margaret says:

My closest Publix is about to change their policy to limit sale items with coupons you can purchase in one transaction. You need to check (apparently constantly) before shopping. Guess I’ll be shopping at a different Publix.

    • Tami says:

My closest Publix just posted a sign that you can only use 2 like coupons in one trip.

    • Lisa says:

At my store, if you have more coupons that total items, they have to call a manager to do an override, but they do take them.

    • Jenn says:

At my PUBLIX the register will “beep” once you meet the limit of coupons per item. So, for example, if you have 50 coupons and only 40 items (stacking them), it will beep and require a manager override. My Publix also beeps when you have exceeded over 50.00 in MQ coupons. Requires manager override.

    • Sue says:

      1. go talk to the STORE manager and introduce yourself.
      2. make friends with him.
      3. have him explain the coupon policy,
and ask the following questions if he does not mention it:
a)who do you consider a competitor
      (Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid)?
b)how many items can you buy in shopping trip?
(i.e 10 coupons, 10 items of same product)
      c)what is your raincheck policy?
d)what days do you get deliveries?
(you may want to jot that down, grocery is usually 3+ times a week, frozen and low velocity don’t come on the grocery truck)

low velocity-items not in the grocery warehouse. Publix needed to expand the warehouse, So another one was built and was labeled low velocity to avoid confusion on where items were to be kept/sent. All yellow tag items are low velocity items.

If you want to stock up, find out how many are in a case and special order it on the first day of the new ad and you can pick it up any time during the ad week and it will be in the box.
Good Luck! Ask us, we love to help! :D

  59. Dawn Grasso says:

I love this site!!!!! I get so excited to check it every morning!!! My husband cant belive how i walk out of publix spending three dollars and having more then five items or getting something for free or when i get overage lol….. ALL Brand detergent is BOGO at my Central Florida store this week.I can’t remember the last time it was on sale – I broke down and paid full price about 3 weeks ago for some.

    • Joanna says:

have already bought 4 at a Daytona Beach area Store, am going to go buy 4 more tonight! Should be set for a couple months! :o )

  61. Jamie says:

Thanks for the matchup as always!! I miss the spreadsheet and I hope that it will be back soon. I don’t use the money calculations on it, I just like being able to print the list of checked items with matching coupons listed. :-)

    • Tami says:

Michelle has asked that we not cut and paste the whole list to other websites, etc, but I just copy and paste the deals with the matchups I’ll use into a word page and then print the page. That way I can also make notes of which coupons I have and delete the ones I don’t.

  62. Hayley says:

Is there a manufacturer Q anywhere for ALL detergent?

  63. Annette says:

Thank you so much for this website! I love being able to spend SO much less money! I am able to give so much to my food pantry, my niece in college, the nice family that lost their job, etc. Thank you so much for all your hardwork!

  64. Heather G says:

Really missing the spreadsheet!! What a great tool…..hope its back soon!! Thanks so much for all that you do! My pantry is overflowing….which has NEVER happened before and I am spending significantly less $$$.
Although, I am moving to NC next week and the closest Publix is 3 hours away!! Seriously considering going back to SC once a month on a Tues to get one weeks worth of deals, staying the night and getting the next week’s worth of deals on Wed….that’s when the new ad starts here. It would be worth the gas money spent!!

  65. Gail says:

Mueller’s states no more coupons available.

    • Jennifer Waltman says:

I had to register for their mailing list, and in the email was a link to a $1/1 coupon…it only let me print one, but that’s still pretty good! :)

  66. ashley says:

Quick question… I seem to being using ALOT of coupons every week. Which is great because I am saving lots of money : )

The cashier ladies seem to get really frantic when they realize how many coupons I have!!! I ask them each time… .”Do you prefer me to give you the coupons now, later, or place the coupons on the items as I put the items on the belt? ” Most cashiers say give them to me now. Which is fine with me……..But it takes them FOREVER to ring me up.

How do you guys hand over coupons? Any advice on how to speed up the transaction process and to help the cashier out.

    • Tami says:

I tape the coupons to the products when I place them in my basket, then they’re already matched up and it’s really easy and fast for the cashiers. They always thank me when they see how organized I am. It’s easier for me too because they’re not getting lost in the belt at check out and I’m not scrounging through a huge stack or my book.

      • Carrie says:

I do the same, well I don’t tape them on the item but set it on the item (and usually stack the next item on top to secure the coupon) I carefully unload the cart and stack the coupon(s) on top the item on the conveyor belt. The cashiers ALWAYS thank me and this way I can make sure I don’t miss any coupons plus it’s always fun to look at my reciept when at home (show off to my hubby and friends :) ) and be able to match up the coupons directly with the item above them and tally the grand total per item.

    • katrina says:

at my publix i give them to them at the end of ringing up, i give x$ off x amount first, then store coupons, then competitor, then manufacturer, and i keep any that they need to fill in the amount for last and i also put those items at the end of my purchase so they can easily tell the price to write in

    • SHERRYLOU says:

I separate mine in 3 piles, Publix, Competitor and Manufacturing.

    • JenniferS says:

Hi all! I’m back at work so my posting days are limited now. But, when I saw this question, I thought I would reply. I think I have a good strategy. I’ve been doing “real” couponing fore about a year now.

      1. Profile, profile, profile!!! I KNOW how this sounds…awful. But, test my theory and you might thank me…I always scan the cashiers first before I commit to a check out lane. Younger males are not always the fastest at scanning product or coupons, but I’ve only had one young guy at one store (yes, ONE) in a year’s time question any of my coupons. They usually just put them through, often without even looking at them. I say this not to encourage dishonesty and try to slide a coupon in for something you didn’t buy. Be honest. But, if YOU know you are an honest/ethical couponer, it does move things along quicker that your cashier isn’t double checking every coupon

      2. Organize your Q’s before you even get to the counter. I DO NOT advise asking the cashier whether they want the coupons up front or after everything is rung up. I’ve tried it both ways and the later is much better. I organize my Q’s in 3 groups: competitor Q’s, Publix store Q’s, and MQ’s. The cashiers SOOOO appreciate this because they have to organize them this way before they turn their cash drawer in at the end of the night anyway. I give them a few at a time and in the order listed. Reason for this is again to reduce the chance of questioning, thus, holding you and the line up. Almost every trip, a manager has to come over and override Q’s. When the manager comes over, it’s usually after the competitor and Publix store Q’s are already keyed. In my experience, far less attention is focused on overrides for MQ’s than for competitor or store Q’s.

      3. Get to know your cashiers. I have my favorites at my store and you will develop favorties too. They will get to know you too.

Again, I cannot stress, be an honest couponer. If you are honest, then it shouldn’t matter if EVERY Q’s you have is questioned. This is just my suggestion to move you through the line faster..

  68. Shanon says:

Does anyone have any advice on organizing my coupons? I use manila folders and file them but there seems as if there should be a better way? I work alot of hours and have a house of 10. Try to keep a garden up and I am exhausted. My problem is now that i coupon I cant stop!!! Knowledge is Power, But can also be our battle , any advice?

    • katrina says:

do you actually clip them or keep them whole with the inserts until you need them? if you do the latter, I keep mine in file folders, one month per folder and paper clip each sunday’s inserts together and write the date on those paper clipped together. I have one accordian folder for all my coupons that aren’t from the inserts, it has 7 broad categories. I follow a lot of what jodi at livefabuless.com reccomends.

      • MistyS says:

I use the binder method. I have several dividers in the binder, and I use the baseball pages to organize them. I get five papers a week, and to clip my coupons faster, I pull the inserts apart, staple like pages together and clip all 5 coupons at the same time. It saves so much time!!! Let me know if I can help in any way :D

  72. Jenn says:

Will this scenario work? Can I use a 1.50 MQ for Philadelphia Cooking Cream, a 1.50 MQ on ANY Chicken WYB Philadelphia Cooking Cream –AND– a 1.50 (Retailer Coupon) for Philadelphia Cooking cream WYB Publix Chicken (the one from Cooking with Kraft Website).
I am thinking since the 1.50 Retailer Coupon from the Cooking w/ Kraft website) says “Retailer Coupon” and not Manufacturer, that it might work?

    • Jen says:

yes :) Yes you can !

    • Deborah says:

Not in my Publix, they are usually very good with stacking coupons, but they told me that the one that says “Retailer Coupon” is actually a MQ because it has a bar code, starts with number 5 and has redemption indications on it… so, lucky you if you can stack them.

  73. Jessica says:

  79. Samantha says:

I am brand new to coupon clipping. This is probably a dumb question, BUT how many coupons can you use per item? Just one?

    • Melanie says:

Samantha, you can use one manufacturer coupon per item. If you also have a store coupon (Publix or a competitor that publix will accept) you can use one of these as well. That’s referred to as “stacking” coupons. So, one manufacturer and one store coupon per item.

I read some posters whose stores will let them use both a Publix AND a competitor coupon on the same item, but that’s unusual I think.

    • Kimberly says:

Samantha, you can use 1 store (publix or competitor) and 1 manuufacturer on each item.
