Making A Little Extra Money

August 25, 2010

internet money Making A Little Extra MoneyOne of the questions I get most often is about the survey companies that I use.  Over the last week I have received emails from lots of you about new ones that you have had success with so I thought I would pass them on so you guys could check them out!

My top picks are:

Pinecone Research–I have been with them for years and love them!
Synovate Global Opinion Panel –I just joined this one based on recommendations from you guys…I can’t wait to get my first product testing assignment!!
BzzAgent–word of mouth marketing.  They send you free products to try and you spread the word!! I just got a campaign for Publix Kids Deli Meals today–woo hoo!
MyPoints -Super Easy.  There are tons of way to earn points…I usually just click on the emails and get 1 -2 gift cards each year!!
Inbox Dollars–Another easy one…I usually just click the emails on this one and do the occasional survey.

Readers Suggestions:

Vindale Research
NPD Online Research
Panda Research
Toluna

Remember you will not get rich doing these…but for just a few minutes of your time you can score some extra cash and other great swag!!  I know lots of you also got the Publix Bzz Campaign as I got at least 10 emails today from fellow BzzAgents icon biggrin Making A Little Extra Money

Personally I’ve had great luck withOpinion Outpost. I’ve made almost $60 in a month, and I’m always getting survey offers.
If you don’t qualify for a survey you can make a small donation, enter a sweepstakes, or enter for an instant win. I really enjoy a lot of the surveys I do on there. Recently I got a full size Shampoo and Conditioner. I love it.

LOL, make that over $60 now, I just got credited for another survey!

I should also mention the checks come quite fast, they say 4-8 weeks, but it’s usually like 1-2.

      • Lauren says:

LOL, I checked again this morning and now I am almost up to $70. I had a few surveys that they were waiting on the publisher to send a list because of some errors.

I should also say you need 50 points to redeem for $5, but that took me no time at all to get.

Don’t sign up with Market Reader Pro, they owe me $475 for an Oven Study. What a PITA.

I signed up about two months ago with zoompanel and have already redeemed my points for $40 in gift cards. I usually get 2 to 5 surveys a day. I love them.

  4. Brooke says:

I’m on BzzAgent too, and also got invited to the Publix Kids Meal BzzCampaign :)

Don’t forget swagbucks!! You can sign up here: http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/mmmunna
I get 2-3 $5.00 Amazon giftcards a month just for using their search engine several times a day.

  6. Lindsey says:

Ooh, I just signed up for Synvocate last week and I’ve already received my first product to test. My boyfriend and I are loving it!

  7. Patricia says:

I do surveys, too, and use the money made to pay for our kids to play Upward basketball each year! We all do the surveys on Knowledge Panel and Marie Brighton as well as Inbox Dollars and the points (covert to money) really add up! I love being able to help pay for something through sitting at the computer or trying a product! :-)

  8. Sharon P. says:

I used to be a member of pinecone, untiul they reduced the pay for each survey. Then it wasnt worth it me.

  9. Shanna R. says:

I signed up on Pinecone about a month ago and never received anything from them.

    • beka says:

I did too – and can’t figure out why they haven’t contacted me. Are they called something different other than Pinecone on the e-mail subject? I think swagbucks is a crock – I applied for 2 amazon gift cards and never got anything! Michelle can you please tell us about getting hooked up with pinecone?!!

How do you become a Publix Bzz Agent? I would love to do that!

I recently signed up with ChaCha to be a “guide”. They are basically a live question answering service where people can text or call in questions and get real time answers. Your job as a “guide” is to answer the questions from your computer. It pays between .10 and .20 cents per question. Some people average up to (and probably over) $500 per month. I just started a little over a week ago (not having much time to put into it yet and still learning the ropes) and I have almost $30 in my account. You get paid on a debit card and can earn and spend as much as you like! Nice for stay-at-home moms.

I am a brand new BzzAgent and got the Publix Kid’s Deli Meal campaign too! Excited!

i love mypoints..i have been on for a year, today actually makes 1 year..I have been able to get $60 in gift cards and will be getting 3 $10 ones to add to gifts for family members this Christmas. My goal for next year, is to just save up all my points until November, and then cash out for different gift cards to either give as gifts or to use for buying the gifts.

I also love Swagbucks..since Feb. I have been able to get $150 in Amazon gift cards, with only 1 referral. Though lately the swagbucks have been harder to get, with special offers not paying out or surveys not working, I still think it is a great site to use.

To me, every little bit helps and eventually the points will add up.

One more thing…I too have signed up for Pinecone. I must say it is the best survey site I have ever done! Within a month I have gotten 3 surveys and within about 3-4 days of each I received a check for $3 in the mail. Some survey companies I did for so long and never accumulated enough to cash out! Thanks so much for introducing us!

  15. xysea says:

I just did my 2nd survey for Pinecone, and deposited my first $3.00, though I might change that to Paypal deposit so I can use that as money to purchase qs on Ebay when I feel the need.

I am using Inbox Dollars, and am more than 1/2 way to my $30 goal (they pay you at $30), and I get a few emails daily and survey opportunities weekly…so far, I am enjoying both I have signed up for!

  16. Sandra says:

You can also print coupons through Mypoints (Coupons.com and Smartsource). They give you points for saving money!
