Weekly Totals

I am very pleased with my shopping trip this week.  I brought home a bunch of groceries this week. Although it appears that I am over budget–I really am just making up for the fact that I have been underbuget for the past few weeks.

I did make a couple of mistakes which meant that I spent a little more than I should have! First, I allowed myself to run out of tampons!  I have a huge health & beauty stockpile and just assumed that I had a box…well– I was wrong!!  So instead of getting them for free playing the drugstore games…I had to bite the bullet and grab a pack! I did use coupons but I am certain I could have got them super cheap or free if I had planned ahead!!  I also decided to grab a couple of the Tony’s pizzas that were 10/$10 since I had a coupon that would make them 50¢ each.  Well–apparently I was not paying attention as I accidentally grabbed a box that was not $1 but instead was priced $2.99! I would not have normally paid that much but since I did not catch the mistake until I was home I will just suck it up.

So this week I spent $56.32 for $193.51 worth of groceries. That means I saved about 71% this week!
