June 25, 2010

kelloggs logo0 Heads Up: Kelloggs Cereal RecallI know many of you have probably taken advantage of the Kellogg’s BOGO deals so be sure and check your pantry as Kellogg’s has just issued a recall of various cereals.  The cereals are Kelloggs Corn Pops, Honey Smacks, Fruit Loops and Apple Jacks because they do not meet quality standards.

If you have questions or you would like a replacement coupon, you may contact the Kellogg Consumer Response Center at 888-801-4163. Go HERE for more information and to see the affected lot numbers.

UGH! I had 10 boxes of cereal recalled! I was on the phone for several minutes but was able to tell them how many boxes I had and left my address info. It will be 7-10 days before I receive my coupons in the mail. Now, what are my kids going to eat? I am wondering what it would do to them, I know they have already had a couple of boxes of the same cereal.

  2. Ruth says:

The article I read said it was causing nausea and vomiting.

  3. Jo says:

I had 2 boxes in my pantry, both were unopened, so no problems here. They’re sending me replacement coupons and I’ll dump those boxes once they arrive.

  4. kay says:

we probably already ate them if we had any recalled boxes. i had tons of pops in my pantry but that is always the first cereal to go!

My son was craving Fruit Loops today, so I bought some on BOGO at Winn Dixie, only to come home and find out that they were part of the recall. I’ll tell you though, the store shelves were stocked FULL, so it’s kind of sad that we get wind of the recall before the stores do.

  6. Jennifer says:

What is up with these companies lately? Seems like every other week somehting is being recalled

  7. Tracy says:

Glad to see it wasn’t any of the mini wheats. Publix told me once they get the email of the recalled product they have 30 min to get it removed from the shelves.
