I have a couple of little St Patrick’s Day goodies for you guys:

Go HERE to get a great eBook filled with crafts and recipes…my four year old loves the holidays too so there are a couple of cute crafts we will do icon smile St Patricks Day Finds   There is also a recipe for Bubble and Squeak that I am going to try and if any of you guys have a great recipe for Corned Beef and Cabbage that you recommend–send it my way!

Food Lion is celebrating with their Shamrock Game –you will get a coupon for $1 off a $3 purchase of green produce items. So if your store considers Food Lion a competitor this is a FABULOUS coupon to use–thanks to Kathy at 30 Weekly Grocery Challenge for the heads up!

Don’t forget to grab your cabbage at Publix this week.  I was trying to decide how much to purchase so I did a little searching and found the shelf life for cabbage in the refrigerator is 4-8 weeks!!! So at .29¢ per pound I will be stocking up for sure!! I make a mean cabbage roll icon smile St Patricks Day Finds

I’m loving the cabbage deal, too…and it will keep even longer if you use green bags to store it.

  2. General Mills has a six-page activity book themed around Lucky Charms and Lucky the Leprauchan. I’ve printed to copy for my kids and also my preschool students!!!

for my corned beef and cabbage, I just toss potatoes (sale this week!) carrots and quartered onions in my slow cooker, place a rinsed corned beef roast on top, pour a little wate mixed with worchestshire sauce and top with a cabbage cut into wedges – cook 4hours on high or 8 hours on low – yum, yum, yum (we’re enjoying this for dinner tonight!)

Bubble and squeak is my favorite. We normally have it on Boxing Day (day after Christmas) with our left over brussel sprouts (I’m British) – I never though to have it for St. Patty’s Day…enjoy.
