No problem Sarah :) I will keep my finger crossed for you also!

  7. Oriana07 says:

Will they have the Publix Family Style Spring 2010 at the store if you request it?

  8. Carrie says:

Where is the Publix family Style Spring book???

  9. Jenna says:

The Aleve coupon from the paper is for 40 ct or more. The one on sale is 24 ct. Isn’t this just encouraging coupon fraud?

  10. Michelle says:

    Hey Jenna
I never claimed to be perfect…a simple email or comment that the Q is not a match might have been a more appropriate way to let me know!!THANKS! Have a nice day!!

  11. Jenna says:

Wow, I didn’t mean to piss you off. Sorry about that. Just thought I’d foster some discussion about gray (or not so gray) areas, because I’ve noticed a lot of people in the comments on this and other sites who are willing to cross lines I wouldn’t. I appreciate what you do.

  12. Melissa says:

Does anyone have a zipcode to use for the coupons.com Q? Im not finding it.

And THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK!! :D

  13. Melissa says:

    Sorry…the coupons.com Yoplait YoPlus Q LMBO! :D

  14. adrianne says:

i’m thinking use it for whatever count on the aleve..if it scans then use it!!! they get there money back and its thier responsibility to make sure they scan for proper items, if it works…kudos to you!!!! it doesn’t matter what count as long as aleve brand!

  15. Ashley says:

I picked up the Publix Family Style Spring 2010 and do not see the Tyson Q. Am I missing it? What page is it on? I’m thinking that it may only be in the mailed versions?!

  16. Jenna says:

A coupon is a contract. If you don’t abide by the terms (i.e. follow the words on the coupon) then you’re usng the coupon illegally. Even if the store gets reimbursed it’s wrong. I’ve been amazed at the lack of ethics from commenters on these blogs. I now get why we’re called “extreme” couponers. Would you try to use a ten dollar bill if you thought the cashier would mistake it for a twenty? It’s easy to rationalize this deception because the amount at stake in each transaction is relatively small. However, the manufacturer issuing these coupons is aware abuse is occuring and will take notice and change their policy, reduce the number of coupons they issue, or eliminate coupons altogether if enough people continue to do this.

    • Carla says:

I am so glad you osted this. When this is abused that is when the store changes its policy and it only takes 1 person to mess a great thing up for everyone else. Examplr Target, my daughter works there and b/c women were purchasing items ( alot of items) in trial size with coupons and getting an overage then later returning items to get more money back, they have stopped allowing overage. It also prints on receipt what money you will receive if you return item. Plus they caught the two ladies and had them arrested. Thank you Michelle for everything.:)

  17. Lisa says:

The one Tyson coupon is a PDF(I think thats the name) is that legal? I did’t think you could use those. correct me if I’m wrong

  18. elaine says:

Thanks Michelle, for all your hard work. I have saved
so much money by using this site and I really appreciate
    it!

  19. sarah says:

am i missing the bob evans and the knorr coupons from my inserts -were those regional?

  20. elaine says:

I was able to print out the Tyson coupon several times
but noticed they all have the same bar code number. Is it
supposed to be different for each one? Please advise
    Thanks!

    • Michelle says:

Hey guys regarding the Tyson pdf…
Not all pdf’s are scans–yes… the majority are no go. BUT–I posted this one as it is hosted/originated from the Tyson site http://www.embracedinner.com/
BUT–as with any coupon if you are in doubt please ask your store. I try very hard to do my best with the matchups but I will make mistakes from time to time :-)

  21. S says:

    Michelle,
You ROCK, Love the site. You have helped our family more than you know. And I am sure a lot of other families too. Some comments are just like the jerk hitting you at the check out line with their cart, you have to just laugh because they just don’t get it. Keep up the awesome work:) Jenna needs to find a new site.

  22. Ileana says:

Picked up the Family Style Spring mag but mine didn’t have the Tyson in it, completely bummed out :( Oh well thanks for your hard work I’ve saved a ton cuz of you :)

  23. jaye says:

I found peelies for the Tyson meals .75/1

  24. nina says:

wow. I am astounded by the lack of appreciation. She is trying to help all of us out, and it seems a few people are jumping on the “coupon fraud” bandwagon. No offense but people are gonna do what they want regardles of what coupon it says to use on this site. I think its extremely rude. She doesn’t even have to do this for all of us. How about you guys stop trying to be the coupon police and show a little appreciation for all of the hard work she does for all of us lazy folks who depend on her website. Thanks have a GRAND day :) and try to remember people are gonna do what they want no matter what is “listed”!

  25. elaine says:

I was no way trying to be critcal. Michelle, you do a
great job! I have never seen a coupon that is a pdf
and I just wasn’t sure about it.Maybe it would be ok
to use it, I just thought someone could advise me.
No offense intended. Sometimes the only way to know
    is to ask!

  26. Margery says:

If you need to stock up on Vitamins, do it by Thursday! The one-a-day and Flintstones are 25% off. There are $1 and $2 MQs floating around. Then there is the $5/2 Publix Q from the green flyer, plus another $2.50/1 in the home mailed Family Style mag. I stocked up when this sale happened last year, and had enough vitamins for my whole family for nearly a year!

  27. Heather says:

S, I agree. However, she is right about making sure you stick to what the coupon says… There is a nicer way to say things though.

Michelle- thanks again for all the hard work you do. I’m sure I’ll say that another million times! :)

  28. Katie says:

The One A Day Chewys are reg $5.79 w/ the 25% off, $5/2 store coupon, and 2 $2 One A Day coupon you get FREE or Overage of 31cents!!!

  29. Lana says:

You only get coupons in the Publix magazines that come in the mail. You can sign up for them on the Publix wabsite.

  30. StephanieP says:

I don’t think it’s being overly critical or acting as the “coupon police” when you ask people to please abide by what’s stated on the coupon. When we don’t follow the rules everyone will be punished, not just the person who committed coupon fraud. If a coupon states a specific size or amount than that’s what you use it for! Yes, it may scan even when you don’t have the right item, but coupons will also sometimes scan when you don’t have any matching items at all.

For example, I had decided against buying Huggies wipes one week but forgot to pull the coupon from my stack. I didn’t realize this until I saw my cashier scanning it. The manufacturer coupon scanned right through with no problems even though there was NO matching item whatsoever. Not even anything similar. This is basically what you’re doing when you pass off a coupon that doesn’t match the item you bought!

“Extreme couponing” should not be a negative phrase. It’s something I’m proud of and I’m very grateful for this website for helping me get there!

  31. Jenna says:

I greatly appreciate this site; my comments are not an attack on iheartpublix. If not wanting to get more than I’m entitled to makes me jerk, then that’s what I am. And if wanting to follow rules makes me the coupon police, then I’m that too.

  32. Jenna says:

This is a simple question of ethics and fair dealing. Proponents of trying to “get away with it” are not being ethical. Also, I was not attacking Michelle – she acknowledged that she simply made an error unlike others who on this forum who have openly advocated fraud. I find it interesting that those responding to my comments are unable to respond to the substantive ethical question raised by coupon fraud and instead must resort to personal attacks or the argument that fraud is “ok” because it benefits their family financially. These are non-responsive answers and don’t merit being taken seriously.

    • S says:

      Jenna … Get a LIFE

      • Margene says:

Jeez what’s with the hostility? Is it really just defensiveness because you’re one of these who thinks it’s ok to “bend” the rules? What Jenna is saying really needs to be said b/c too many people are trying to get away with illegal stuff and they’re going to ruin it for everyone.

  33. Jen says:

A few months ago the manager at my store told me that a few ladies walked into the store, took about 10-15 coupon booklets EACH (the Winter Savings ones with LOTS of coupons), and started to walk out. He confronted them, asked them kindly to please take only 1 each. When he asked them why they would take that many, they said they were going to sell them on E-bay (and keep some for themselves). They told him all about this website, and how it advocates stockpiling as much as you can, including coupon booklets, tear pads, taking peelies off of products, even if you don’t buy them, etc. Needless to say, he and many other managers in our region dislike this website.

I told him I didn’t believe that was the mentality of the owner of this site (and I hope it’s not), but that just goes to show you that a few rotten people spoil the whole works!

  34. StephanieP says:

BTW – I forgot to mention that I alerted the cashier to the Huggies coupon that had no matching item and she voided it and gave it back to me!!

  35. Margene says:

I’m glad to see people discussing this. Stephanie, I agree that extreme couponing should be something to be proud of. Unfortunately, it’s obvious many people are willing to break the rules to save a buck or two and make us all look bad. Hopefully discussions like this will alert people that what they’re doing is wrong. What is it about coupons that makes otherwise good people feel justified in twisting rules to suit their needs?

  36. Clinton says:

I agree with Jenna. Thanks for bringing this up. This is a great stream. Some important issues we all need to think about.

  37. Debbie says:

The Tyson Beef tips in burgundy sauce at my Publix also had a peelie on it for 75cents off. That was the only flavor that had it though.

  38. Debbie says:

Forgive me if this is a repeat…

My Publix has RoTel on sale BOGO (2/1.39). Plus the spring advantage buy booklet has a coupon for 75cents off 2. Plus there are several MQ out there. I had a buy 2 get 1 free and (2) that were $1 off 4. GREAT savings!

  39. Brandy says:

I found a Live Whole Heartedly booklet at public today. It has a coupon for $2/2 Pep. Farm snack crackers OR whole grain breads. So I will be scoring some super cheap bread! I am new to all this so this site has been invaluable to me! I work FT, am married with 2 kids & 2 dogs so I probably wouldn’t have the time to match everything up on my own! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Your hard work definitely benefits my family!

  40. frugalapolis says:

thanks for all you do Michelle.

  41. Eve says:

    what does dnd5 mean?

    • Michelle says:

Do not double –coupon begins with a 5 ….meaning the wording says do not double but it will automatically double b/c the first # is a 5 (had it been DND9 –it would not auto double)

  42. Susanne says:

I don’t see a link to the full detailed page including deals on produce, meat, grocercy, etc…?? Am I missing something?

  43. blizzard says:

Jen, about the manager busting the booklet grabbers: What region do you live in? Everyone in that region PLEASE go out of your way to restore the ‘good name’ of IHeartPublix and speak to your managers! Obviously those women have character issues! Michelle’s site (and therefore WE) should not suffer from this sort of misrepresentation…Grrrrrr! >:(

  44. Jen says:

blizzard – I live in NW Florida. It was one of the stores in Pensacola. The manager happens to be a friend of ours, so I spent a few minutes talking with him about this site, and that those ladies definitely do not represent this site in general. He said that almost every time there is a problem with some flagrantly abusing coupons (coping them, using them for products that are not specified, etc.), they cite this website saying “that’s how they do it.” I told him that’s not true, and he understands that, but it makes me mad that a few extremely selfish people could ruin couponin for everyone!

  45. Beth says:

It is truly a shame that those few apples spoil the rest of the bunch. I had issues at Kmart and Walmart too and had to do a “mini” how can you tell it is fake…but the people at “my” walmart tend to be a “few bricks short of a load” so it was more difficult. It is JUST really a pain for those of us who are trying to do the “right” thing.

A correction Michelle….The Knorr sides is in the 11-15 RED PLUM not the SS!

  46. Perfection says:

If you people have a problem with what she is doing, then don’t use this website. If you don’t like what she has to say, don’t read the comments. You talk about faruders Jenna, and you are just as bad. Nazi.

  47. Deb says:

I have a question for you Publix pros (well, those that use diapers) In my Publix weekly add was a publix coupon for $3 off a box of Huggies. I can stack that with a manufacturer coupon, correct? And, I thought I read somewhere that you can use one type of Huggies coupon on another type of Huggies. Say, a Pure and Natural coupon for a pack of Little Movers, etc. Am I mistaken in thinking I read that somewhere?? I would love to get $5 off a box but am not sure I can. Any thoughts??

You guys are the best :)

  48. melanie says:

The thing is-if you’ve used Michelle’s website for any amount of time you’d know how she feels about honest couponing. If I had caught the aleve mistake-I would never have assumed she was trying to get everyone to rip publix off w/free aleve, I would have known it was simply a mistake. I’ve seen other comments similar to Jenna’s in the past. Ladies- this is a woman who obviously works her butt off for us and has young children! I don’t know how she does it all – but I am so thankful. Thank God you made a mistake Michelle – I was beginning to think you weren’t human!

  49. Lisa says:

Carla/Jenna/ Stephanie YOU ROCK!! Good words of wisdom, Michelle thank-you for all you do. I love this site as well!! Really helps with the Deals!! On the PDF subject I was not trying to imply that it was Fraudulent, I just wasn’t sure about PDF’s. Thanks

  50. Lisa says:

For all those who are wonder about fraudulent coupon you can go to this website and it gives a bunch of ALERTS : most of them are obvious High $$ off but I was amazed at how real a bunch of them looked.
    http://www.cents-off.com/body_coupon_counterfeiters.cfm

  51. Georgia says:

Michelle, I think u do a FABULOUS job & I love this site!

  52. Deb says:

Actually, I did get my Aleve free :) My store had the 24 count tablets for $1.97 so my $5.00 coupon was a money maker!! I love when I go in willing to pay $1.00 for something and then don’t have to.

  53. TracyA says:

Im in Lex, SC and Im seeing more and more where Publix is suppresing the DND

  54. Leticia says:

Sorry I am a newbie to this site. What is DND?
