I love the holidays but they can be VERY stressful. So I would like to help out a little…I am going to send out a $50 Publix gift card to one winner. Maybe if I can help cover the cost of your Holiday dinner you will have a little more to cover another cost elsewhere

My favorite thing about the holidays is the joy that everyone has. Everyone always seems to be a little happier this time of year and it always puts me in a good mood:)
I love the decorations….the lights and the colors. I love the fragrance of home baked goodies, preparing Christmas dinner for family and friends. I try to shop early so that I can enjoy the fun stuff, like a Christmas concert last night. And I have my granddaughter and her little girl living with me now and I am just thrilled with each new thing I can show my great-granddaughter!

My favorite thing about Christmas is seeing the look on my childrens face when they walk into the living room after “Santa” has been there. My oldest found out about Santa last year (I got 12 years out of her) and she has kept the secret for my 4 year old. The only reason there will be things under the tree this year is because of this web site. I have learned to save soo much on groceries that I was able to put aside money for gifts. I love listening to the Christmas Carols from the church bells down the street every evening.
My favorite Christmas tradition is that my nieces come over and we decorate the tree together. They exclaim over each ornament, remembering the ones their mother gave me, or that I brought back from the beach. It reminds me of decorating the tree with my brother and sisters when we were all little.

My favorite thing about the holidays is that everyone is at home. There are no other activites to rush off to. It’s so nice to just have the quiet family days without anyone leaving the house!

First, I have to say that I love your website. It has made me become a much more frugal and effiecient shopper. Being a single mother with four children [and no public assistance], every little bit helps. We had a wonderful holiday. We laid around and ate; stayed in our pajamas and watched television. I wondered why my children were so content with this plan. Then I noticed, they were working on thier Christmas lists?!?! One of my twins ended up with a 6 foot Christmas list. She felt that Santa may get a paper cut, so she decided to tape page after page after page. My oldest decided to make her list more user friendly for Santa. She created her list with columns. She has a description, price, location and a picture (thanks to the Black Friday ads) for her list. So my Holidays ended with a full belly and four extra long Christmas lists.
I have iheartpublix on my RSS, but I usually can’t wait to read the posts at home. I check the website several times a day while at work looking for more savings. Thanks for doing what you do!

Christmas is my favorite time of the year now, because I have two little boys and when I see them smile on Christmas it makes me so happy too! My favorite thing about the holidays is getting together with friends and family and being thankful for all that we have!!
My favorite thing to do with my small boys for Christmas is to make fancy cookies. Our easy (stree-free) way of doing it is to buy store-bought cookies of all shapes and decorate them – they turn out a little like a gingerbread house with decorative things attached. We mostly dip them in melted almond or chocolate bark,add sprinkles, chips, etc. then lay on a rack to cool and harden. The results are wonderful to see and eat and even little kids can produce beautiful results which makes them very happy. I think they look best when you start with assorted cookie shapes like pretzels (sticks), sugar wafers (rectangle) in addition to the round cookies.
I buy cookies on sale in the weeks leading up to Christmas as well as bargain chocolate chips and little candies. Pull them out of the freezer, decorate, and wow the neighbors and teachers at school!

One of my favorite thing at the holidays is the Publix holiday sample night. If you are new to Publix, this is a fun time to shop. You can sample dinners, egg nog ice cream and even wine.
One year I won a turkey dinner complete with sides. It was so nice not to have to cook on Christmas!

One of my favorite things about the holidays is how much nicer people are to one another. I’m in TN and most places people are cordial, but during the holidays they seem to actually mean it when they ask how you are doing. A crying child in Publix even gets more compassionate stares the irritated glares. So I always feel a little warmer and happier during the holidsay and the people around city seem more festive and caring.

What I like about the holiday is celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ and giving to family and friend.
Tip for your readers – open the packages that your children’s toys come in. Undo all that tape, twist ties, and tie wraps that hold the doll or toy in the box. Then wrap it so that it’s ready to play with immediately upon opening. We did that this year and I’m expecting a more relaxed Christmas morning as a result.

I LOVE Publix! My father used to work at the wearhouse in Lakeland, and it was my first job bagging at one of the stores there, too! I Love it there! I now live in the Carolina’s and am not a fan of the groceries here! I got so spoiled by Publix that even though I now live an hour and 15 minutes from the nearest one, I still make the drive!!! Just to get my publix brand milk, juice, ice cream, sweet tea, soda, and all the bogo deals!!! The deals is what makes it affordable to make the drive! We make it a family event now!!! It’s brought the family closer and it makes us smarter shoppers!!! We have a big cooler we throw in the back! My husband used to think I was nuts! He grew up in the north, and didn’t get it, until I brought him to one in my home town! Ya’ll hooked him, too!!!!! I’d LOVE the $50.00 gift card, just to pay for the gas! ;D

Anyway, I have been in love with this site for going on 5 months now and I check it nearly every day or more. I have told everyone I know about it – and defended you LOUDLY when a publix worker had your site confused with someone else’s and accused it WRONGLY of having fake coupons. I love your site! My daughter actually found. And now, I addicted. I can’t wait ’til the sneek peek comes out each week. I’m a fan on Facebook. My favorite part of the holidays is: cooking with my daughters (11, 14, and 20). They help me decide which treats we’re making, and what we’re having for Christmas dinner. Then, we get started 4 or 5 days before Christmas Eve. My mom used to do this (the baking part) with my brother, me, and all our friends. So, I’m trying to continue the tradition.

I love Christmas because it’s the one time of year where people may actually think about Jesus and how he died for our sins. Celebrating our saviors birth is wonderful, but we should also celebrate his death since that is what saves us, if we believe on his name. John 3:16 For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him will not perish, but have everlasting life. Salvation is a gift from God and has nothing to do with good works. Good works =obedience after your saved and all we need to do is repent(turn from our sin) and believe Jesus died for your sins. Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven. The bible says no man cometh unto the Father, but by me(Jesus).

This could buy our groceries for our Christmas dinner I have at my house on Christmas Day. My favorite this about Christmas is that we made our on tradition that when we wake up on Christmas morning before the kids get to see what Santa brought them we go into the kitchen take out the cake that we made the night before and sing Happy Birthday to Jesus my oldest is 6 and me and my husband started this when he was a baby we wanted to above all remember what Christmas is truely about.

My husband and I moved our family out to TN over a year ago from CA. Although we have most of his side of the family here, my entire side of the family is still in CA along with a few of his brothers, so it is very difficult to be apart from them! I love your site. My current favorite thing about Christmas time is the Advent Calendar I make for my kids. I make a Hershey kiss chain that counts down the days til Christmas. Each morning my 3 kids hop up into my bed and give me a kiss, then they get their candy. It is a wonderful way to wake up each morning.

Hello. The thing I love about Christmas holidays is the excitement and wonder in my 6 year old everytime she talks about Santa, but also reminds me that it is Jesus’ birthday! The other day she wrote a letter to Santa that read “Dear Santa, for Christmas I want everyones wishes to come true!” I kid you not. I know the princesses had an influence on that, but also know that she could have rattled off a very long list!
