Weekly Totals

October 24, 2009

One day I hope to get caught up…I am not sure it is possible–but I can dream!  Sorry for not getting this post up sooner!  I love to see all of your weekly totals–so make sure to leave your link or just leave a comment!

I hit the stores several times this week. Again– this week I spent a little more but I have a feeling it will even out as I don’t expect to do much shopping in the coming week.  Although I spent a bit more than usual this week –I have a TON to show for my spending!  I have over $46 of meat–that is 19 meals worth!  I also have $38 in Register Rewards that I plan to use to replenish my husband’s soda stockpile! He has been out for a week and honestly I meant to get him some but just never looked to find the best deal.  Thank goodness it will be 4/$10 tomorrow at Walgreens!!  I use the drugstore “monopoly money” for his soda addiction icon smile Weekly Totals

This week I spent $42.50 for what would have cost $239.79.  That means I saved 83% this week!  Since the meat alone would have cost more than my total–I am THRILLED with my totals this week!

    I spent $17.55 for $178.06 worth, saved $160.51 = 90%

  2. Dina says:

Where is the Knox gelatin located in Publix? I looked down the vitamin isle, but couldnt find it.

  3. Anna says:

I spent $30 at Publix, but will get $10 from the Kraft Jingle Rebate. I would have spent $117! I also shopped at Target (paid $4.85, saved $20) and CVS (paid $3.50, saved a bunch!)

Would this gelatin be in the baking section?

  4. Anna says:

Thanks for the heads up on the Kraft Rebate. I was able to stock-up and do the MIR. I linked you in my blog too.

  5. Jen says:

Dina – the Knox gelatin is in the Jell-O and pudding aisle. It is usually on the very top shelf.

  6. Dina says:

Jen- Thanks! I found them this morning.
After two trips to publix this week, I paid a total of $11.05 and saved $81.47!

  7. Fair Tax Girl says:

I paid $94.09 for $219.49 worth of groceries. Only 57.1% savings, but I’ll take it. Thanks for everything you do. Your website has been invaluable to my family budget.

Is the Nasoya you’re referring to the Nasoya tofu? If so, can you tell me more about those coupons, please! My twins are 15 months old and LOVE tofu, so I’d love to stock up! I have a $1.50 off one coupon, but was wondering which Publix insert you’re talking about. Thanks!

    Amanda

    • Michelle says:

Amanda I got the wraps but the coupon would apply to the tofu too—I have no idea where they are from–I got them in a trade. They looked to be a single page like the Q’s you would find at the Apron’s station

  9. DeeDee says:

I saved 81%today!! Spent 12.32 and saved 53.90. Totally impressed my English in-laws. They have never seen thus type of couponing before!! Saved 81% at Target last evening,as well.

  10. Hollind says:

I’m new to your site and LOVE it so far. But I’m confused on te register rewards. I livein FL so that may be the problem. If some onw would explain it would be great!

  11. Michelle says:

    Hey Hollind
Sorry I forgot to color code the list–some of my purchases were from Walgreens. They issue Register Rewards as a coupon when you buy specific items (coupons that can be used to pay for future purchases)
If you need more info on Walgreens you can go here for a better explanation :-) http://www.iheartsavingmoney.com/?page_id=113

  12. Amanda says:

Thanks Michelle, I’ll check the Aprons station. Also, a heads up that I found a $1 hangtag on Mezzacorona wine for pasta, pasta sauce or bread, no wine purchase required!

  13. Hollind says:

Thanks. I knew about the register rewards at Walgreens but the way it was listed I thought there was another thing I was missing out on in FL! Thanks again. I’m really excited to have found this site.
