I’m Back-WOO HOO!!

What a mess…for those of you who are in my neck of the woods I hope this message finds you all safe and your homes dry! That storm was a doozie! For those of you in other areas I am sure you have seen some of the pictures on the news of the massive damage and deaths caused by the storm. My area got approximately 18 inches of water and there is considerable damage. I am out in the boonies and there are only 2 direct routes to my house and one of them is no longer available as the road compelely washed away!
I am very happy to report that everything here is just fine…just a little disruption in the utlilities for a while! I am glad to have my computer back up and running 
I am so thankful that Kerry was kind enough to take over while I was gone. I know what a huge chore it is to do the ad with match ups so she really deserves a big pat on the back! THANK YOU KERRY!
It will take me a while to get through all of my emails. I appreciate all the kind words you all sent. If you asked me a question I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. As for the $50 gift card give away–I am extending the cut off until 11 pm tonight. If you haven’t entered yet you still have a few hours.

Are you in the Douglas County area? Thats where I am…You have to be close…The 18inches of rain tipped me off…Glad you are fine…I’m not in the boonies and there are 4 or 5 ways to my house but as of yesterday morning there was only 1 left…

Glad you have your utilities back. I know you guys got it bad. My hubby was trying to get through Atlanta today and 285 and 20 were both closed due to flooding. He said it was even worse North of Atlanta. Glad to hear everything is ok!
Michelle, I’m glad to hear you guys are okay. There was some CRAZY flooding last night and today. I was watching the news ALL DAY! If you know of anyone who needs restoration help, my brother-in-law Brian Taylor works for Southeast Restoration – tell anyone to give them a call, they are GREAT! 770-345-3500.

Michelle – What a small world! I have been reading your blog for a few months and lovin’ Publix, too. I’m currently in Panama City Beach but will return to Georgia on Monday. We will be at my DD’s in Winston (just off Post Rd., south of “Pop’s” at the 4-way stop) for a few days then on to John Tanner State Park to do volunteer work. (We are fulltime RVer’s). We have local Atlanta stations on our Direct TV so we’ve been able to watch all the news…and talking to my DD, DSIL just made it in to work today and of course schools are out and they have no water. I’m originally from Atlanta and have never seen this in my 60 years…I never thought flooding could happen to Atlanta with our beloved Chattahoochee being the culprit! Glad you’re safe and I’m looking forward to returning to the land of doubles!
