“Snack”urday: Cherry Dump Cake

Amanda over at A Few Short Cuts has posted an absolutely yummy looking Saturday snack for you all. I am definitely going to try this one…I have everything except cherries so they are already on my shopping list for the week

I’ve been making this for years, except that I add a cup of shredded cocunut to the top and melt a stick of butter and pour over the top. It’s is so yummy!!! Highly recommend!
This is VERY GOOD! I make it with just the cherry pie filling but have also used apple pie filling with spice cake mix instead of the regular cake mix. I would love to know how much the Walmart brand pie filling mix is at Walmart and if it is any good. The cheapest that I have found at Publix is $3.28 per can. (ouch!)
Shelly, I just bought the pie filling the other day, and I think I threw the reciept away already. But I am pretty sure it was less than $3.
Ellen, my mother in law puts coconut on her’s too. I have never tried it that way but I am sure it is delicious!
I make this with the apple pie filling and it is sooo good!
Shelly, I just found my receipt! The Cherry Pie Filling was $2.18 at walmart! Which is really cheap compared to other stores!
