I know that peelies, hang tags, winetags and the like usually bring varied opinions. I am not sure if there is a right or wrong answer–I say go with what makes you confortable. Like any other coupon accessible to a conusmer–each person will have to depend on their moral compass to guide them.

I happen to have a friend whose job involves sitcking peelies on produts, hanging hang tags, attaching tearpads and such…she gives me her excess so I often have sheets and booklets of coupons. Before I peel I try to ask that stores management their stance on the matter. Most everyone I have spoke to tells me to peel away! Generally they indicate that the coupon is of no concern of theirs until it is given to the cashier –then it becomes their responsibility.

Peelies and hangtags belong to the item they are attached to (that’s why they are actually attached to the item!). They are a bonus for purchasing the item.

It’s always a huge frustration and disappointment to find that an item I want to purchase had a peelie on it once upon a time that someone else ripped off the packaging so they could stuff it in the bottom of their purse to possibly (but maybe not) use later.

my husband thinks it’s a crime to take peelies or hangtags off a prod that you don’t intend to buy that day. I justify it because I will buy that product at some point! Even if it’s 3 weeks later when it’s bogo! lol

Good question, how does everyone else feel about this? And what about how many booklets do you take? Do you grab a few?

I have the Corona booklet also and my Mail in rebate says no beer purchase required… Just buy $10 worth of beef, chicken or seafood get $6.00

Yep–grab those coupons when you see them…if you wait until you need them they may be gone
Publix does a few mailers here and there–most of the Q’s they distribute are found in booklets that are available at random times.
