I was so disappointed today at Publix on Hwy 5. After they had scanned all of my groceries, and started scanning coupons they told me that they quit taking FL as of yesterday, 7/21/09. Do you know of a Publix near Douglasville that takes FL and Target coupons?

I was in there last week and was told the same thing!! I told the cashier how dissapointed I was and he called the manager over (young guy, can’t remember his name). I told him I would now only shop at the New Georgia Publix because they still take FLIPS(no they don’t take Target). Anyway, he said he would take this them one last time but his store could no longer accept these because there was no Food Lion with in 30 miles. This is the GOOD part — I informed him that there was a Food Lion opening on Villa Rica Hwy & 61 and this was with in 30 miles. He said he was not aware of that. Well he is now! I will be calling the store before I shop there again to see if this will change their policy. The Food Lion has not opened yet but appears it will be soon.
I haven’t shopped in a few weeks, but I went to the Mirror Lake store last night & sadly discovered the same thing…though, they (Mirror Lake) will still take the Target coupons. But if the Hwy 5 store’s explanation was that there was not one within 30 miles, they are wrong. There is a store in Whitesburg; it’s less than 30 miles. Mapquest shows around 20 miles.
I was in this location last week and the cashier told me they were not accepting FLIPs because there was no FL within 5 miles. Sounds like they need to get their story straight.
Beware of a cashier named Calvin. He has been deemed as the “coupon nazi” (the employees sadly know it too). He is convinced that ALL of the printed coupons are counterfeited and reads EVERY WORD on EVERY coupon. It is so bad that if he was the only cashier, I would walk out….No kidding.
My favorites are Maureen and Stefanie!! LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!
It’s totally true about Calvin being absolutely coupon unfriendly. I avoid him at all costs. It only took one experience with him at checkout to always always always go to some other cashier!!!!

The coupon policy has now hit our store
They now ONLY take Target and Kroger and none other (like Rite Aid or WAGS 
:(:( But atleast they take Target…Kroger never puts any store coupons out…..
Anyone know what coupons the Fairburn Road Store takes? I don’t see it listed.
Sad……now Calvin has been replaced by another coupon “nazi”. His name is Jeremiah. He is on the short side, a black male and on the heavy set side. I have a headache after dealing with him……AVOID him at ALL costs. He was absolutely Horrible!
btw………I was told that Publix (especially this store) was not allowing Target coupons anymore.
