Happy Friday everyone!
It's been a big week at my house! My youngest kiddo started school yesterday AND today he celebrates turning double digits! Yep, my Jeb-a-doo is 10 years old today!
I tell you...it does not seem like it was too long ago that I was holding him in my arms and rocking him to sleep. Now I can't even think about picking him up. He is almost as tall as me and growing every single day!
Next week is going to be busy as well. Jake has been to his middle school orientation, he goes Monday to set up his locker and then he starts school on Tuesday. So we have been running like chickens with our heads cut off trying to complete all the last minute tasks while we can.
I'll be honest with you guys...I am so excited about next Tuesday! I love my children desperately but I absolutely love getting a big chunk of alone time to get my to do list done. I am much more productive and my house stays much cleaner. Part of me feels guilty but then I know that school is a good thing. They learn and get to socialize with all their friends. Chances are they are happy to not have to hang out with me all day too—tee hee!
Tonight Jeb is calling the shots. He has already chosen his birthday meal and has a movie lined up for us to watch. I believe it's a Spiderman or Super Mario movie...he has mentioned both so I am not sure which one he decided on.
We are just having a family celebration tonight and my parents will come celebrate with him tomorrow. I'll do his friends birthday party in a few weeks. I just couldn't imagine trying to organize a party the first week of school. I know it would have been too much for me to handle and I am sure the other kids' parents appreciate me waiting as well.
So I guess I am off to enjoy a meal of chicken nuggets and fries and then watch a cartoon. Sounds like a nice way to end the week!
I hope you guys grabbed lots of deals this week. I'll be shopping Sunday to take advantage of the gas card coupon! If you have shopped and want to share your weekly totals, feel free to leave a comment or link up!
