Cherry Vanilla Whoopie Pies – Grab Everything You Need At Publix & Save (New 7UP Coupons!)

Everyone at my house enjoys a sweet treat. I don’t mind throwing on an apron and heading into the kitchen when I know the end result will be a deliciously sweet Cherry Vanilla Whoopie Pie like you see above!

Now this recipe came about as I was craving a 7UP cake. Many moons ago when I was dieting, I ran across a recipe that only requires a boxed cake mix and some 7UP…that’s it! I absolutely love this recipe and when I was in hard core diet mode, I would just eat the cake with some fresh fruit. BUT…when I wanted a really decadent treat, I whipped up a big fat whoopie pie!

I love the texture of the cake using 7UP…it comes out so moist and delicious. The cake is softer and not nearly as dense as when you cook up a boxed mix with all the usual ingredients. So I typically enjoy my whoopie pie on a plate with a fork. The combination of the super moist cake, rich frosting and that tasty cherry filling is absolutely AMAZING!

If you don’t have a whoopie pie pan…just make cupcakes and cut them in half. You get the same delicious taste in a slightly different shape. I figure the shape really doesn’t matter…it’s going to be eaten either way—right?!
