Oh this is a big weekend at my house. Jeb-a-doo is playing his first football game of the season on Saturday and later that night we’ll be watching the Alabama season opener. As you can imagine, all my guys are eagerly counting down these last few days!

Naturally we’ll have some friends over for the big game on Saturday night. I have started my menu planning and will be shopping in a few days. Of course I already have the dessert ready to go. Last week I told you that the Carvel Game Ball cake is back at Publix! I spotted them in my store and have already tucked a cake in my freezer so we are ready to roll!

Yes, it tastes as good as it sounds. I can guarantee you that the entire cake will be demolished on Saturday night. Of course I am a smart momma and actually picked up two cakes just in case my guests show up extra hungry. I can’t imagine not having enough cake to go around!
