It’s no secret that football is HUGE here at my house. My little Jeb-a-doo plays and my husband is fanatical about watching college football. So from about August until January, our lives completely revolve around everything football.
Heck we just had Jeb’s birthday party this past weekend. The entire football team was here celebrating. We have several friends who also happen to be big Bama fans, so we all get together each week to watch the games together. The Carvel Game Ball cake was such a huge hit at all the functions last year, I know that everyone will be expecting it again this year too. With a football-shaped ice cream cake that’s made with layers of vanilla and chocolate ice cream, chocolate crunches and fresh whipped frosting, who can resist?
Besides the fact that the cake tastes amazing, I love that I don’t have to bother with a special order. I can simply stop by Publix, grab a cake (or three) from the freezer and then store it in my freezer until it’s needed. I just pick it up when I grab all the other party goodies! It makes my life a breeze.
