Easy Barbecue Burger

I thought I’d share a meal idea that is super economical and absolutely delicious. It just happens to have been our dinner tonight!

I was able to take the Smart Savings coupons and use them to my advantage. I whipped up a batch of Easy Barbecue Burgers and there wasn’t a crumb left on anyone’s plate. I paired the burgers with a simple side salad and dinner was done in under 30 minutes.  Here are the coupons that you’ll need –

The key to the burgers is grilling them and brushing them with Open Pit Honey Barbecue Sauce as they cook. The sauce caramelizes and gives the burgers the most delicious flavor. Add in a Vlasic Bold & Spicy Pickle and you have a great flavor combination!

The best part…there is basically no clean up involved. Heck, grab paper plates and you’ll be out of the kitchen in no time flat. Quick, easy and economical – add this one to your “perfect weeknight meal” category.

Easy Barbecue Burgers

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon onion finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup Open Pit Honey Barbecue Sauce
  • 6 hamburger buns, toasted (if desired)
  • lettuce, tomatoes, onions
Instructions
  1. Combine ground beef, minced onion, seasoned salt, and black pepper.
  2. Shape into 6 patties.
  3. Grill on medium heat.
  4. Brush often with the Open Pit Barbecue Sauce.
  5. Cook to desired doneness.
  6. Serve on the toasted buns and top with lettuce, tomatoes and onions.
