Today I thought I’d take you guys into my powder room. Whenever guests visit they’ll usually need to pop in to freshen up so I want to make sure they feel refreshed and invigorated.

Like most powder rooms, mine is small. It has just enough room for the sink and toilet. There’s a nice sized cabinet out of view across from the toilet where I store all my supplies and a few decor items. It’s mainly a functional room but I have added some pretty touches to make it feel comfortable to guests.

Bathrooms are notorious for having unpleasant smells. With two small boys I am constantly working to clean up all the little messes that they make. I use the jar candles in the bathroom, too. Gives a nice little light at night so you can find the light switch easily, and of course, makes the room smell great! I also like to use them around the tub when I take a long, soaking bath…just relaxes me even more!

I love the Glade candles – especially the Vanilla and Apple Cinnamon. They burn nicely, produce a great scent, and are an overall great value for the money! I put the whole candle down into my larger mosaic candle holder and they produce great light. I always stock up when they are on sale and give them as gifts also!

Love the candle idea in the guest bathroom BUT I just couldn’t do it with the kids in the house. I do like the candles for me when taking a long soak in the tub. Instead I use the plug in – scented oil (Peony) in the bathroom to help conquer any odors that may arise.

I light my candles in the fireplace. When it’s time to ditanguish them, I just cover them with a top to keep the smoke at bay. This way, my scent remains pleasant.

I follow on Twitter. Love using Glade Candles at our breakfast table. One favorite is the 2 in 1..creamy custard/apple cinnamon. Kind of sets a nice, mellow mood for the rest of the day. Also, use other scents in our greatroom at the end of our day. Love anything Lavender in late afternoon…kind of a good chill out scent.

I keep one candle in the bathroom for those “shut out everything” moments and I have a tray on the living room coffee table where I nestle 3 candles together and depending on the season, I may mix flavors/scents (burn 2 of 1 scent and 1 of some other scent at the same time) but I keep those on the coffee table going whenever I am in the house

Usually I use Glad candles in my living room. Makes it so calm and relaxing in there. Sometimes I use them in my kitchen, too.

I use Glade plug-ins in my family room and bedroom. I like to put them where we spend the most time. I also use the Glade candle melts in my master bathroom for a little luxury while taking a bubble bath.
