Great Deal On Pillsbury Cake Mix & Frosting At Publix – Make Funfetti Cupcakes!

My boys love to take advantage of the fact that I like to bake and often request various sweet treats. Last week my oldest son asked if we could have a party. Jake has been working on mastering his math facts and asked if we could have a party once he got to a certain level. I agreed that completing all the timed addition facts was definitely worth a celebration.

What's a celebration without cake? My boys are huge fans of Pillsbury® Funfetti® Cupcakes. Colorful sprinkles and kids just go hand in hand. The J.M Smucker Company recently sent me some I happily whipped up a batch of Funfetti Cupcakes in honor of Jake moving to his timed subtraction facts. The boys had a blast helping me decorate the cupcakes. Each tub of Funfetti® frosting comes with fun sprinkles and you can choose from several colors -

  • Hot Pink Vanilla Flavored Frosting with Colored Sugar Crystals
  • Aqua Blue Vanilla Flavored Frosting with Colorful Fish Shaped Candy Bits
  • Bold Purple Vanilla Flavored Frosting with Colorful Candy Bits
  • Vibrant Green Vanilla Flavored Frosting with Colorful Candy Bits

Publix shoppers will be happy to know that through 10/25, we can celebrate more for less. Pillsbury® frosting is on sale for 2/$3. There is also a Publix digital coupon that will save you an additional 25¢. Plus, you can pick up a $1 box of Pillsbury® cake mix that’s on sale too. You'll have everything you need to have your own celebration at a great price. You have time to stock up – remember, the cake mixes and frostings are on sale in the Advantage Buy flyer that runs through 10/25.

RecipeImage.ashxWith the holidays coming up, it's a great time to grab a deal. If you aren't in the mood for a cake why not try the Purple Party Mix. This would be a great change of pace from your typical popcorn snack on movie night.

Just used the Pillsbury Funfetti Frosting’s (Hot Pink, Purple & Blue) last Saturday at my daughter’s Sweat Treats 7th bday party! I filled 20 pastry bags for all the kids and let them decorate their own cupcakes. They LOVED the colors!!!!! =)

Got the blue icing a couple weeks ago on clearance too! That will make great “sully cupcakes” for my daughter’s monsters inc birthday party next weekend! Maybe I’ll use the green to icing for the cake and try and make it look like mike wazowski! I’m not a great cake baker but does anyone have any tips on icing? I always seem to mess up a few so just wondering if anyone has any secret tips for spreading,

Make sure the cake is COMPLETELY cooled before frosting. I know it’s tough to wait (for me, anyway), but if the cake is still warm at all, you’ll be much more likely to get crumbs that pull up and get all into your frosting.
