Crock Pot Black Eyed Peas Recipe

How many of you guys do the traditional Southern New Year’s meal of black eyed peas and collards? I do it every year without fail.

    nope never knew what to do with a black eyed pea until now. we do pork and saurkraut and hot dogs and sausage. the recipe sounds good though, may have to give it a go on another day.

      You may want to do this dish on New Years Day. My husband (from the South) said it is a dish you prepare on New Years to bring good luck (more money) for the New Year. I am from the North and never heard this but I will try anything for more money in the New Year! LOL! Make sure you also prepare collards too!

    I made this for New Years dinner and they are awesome. I normally choke down about a teaspoon worth of black-eyed peas but this year I ate a bunch. Will definitely be making these more often that just for New Years.
